Congratulations

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of Raspberry card for the background.  I used the looped border from the Decorative Drapes Border die set and cut it in both the left and right sides of the card.  I added a black backing piece behind it.  I cut the Lena die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card (I really need to name this technique, any ideas?)  I used the white copy to colour the floral end images with alcohol ink markers.  I cut the middle die from the set in the same manner and coloured it with alcohol ink markers too.  I added it to the Lena die with mounting foam.  I cut the Lena die again bit in white this time and used it horizontally behind the coloured Lena die.  I cut the Congratulations sentiment from the All Occasions Wordie Sheets and added it with mounting foam.  I used micro beads in the centres of the flowers, they look black but they were clear and glued on top of the black card in the flower's centres.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8 3/4"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

Good morning Sue, a beautiful card, love the technique of cutting two pieces of card, I used it to colour all my stained glass Christmas cards, it makes colouring so easy. I can’t help you with a name for this technique but I love it.

Hi Sue. What a lovely card today which really shows off the die in all it's splendour. You could call the technique you have used the padded quilt technique.

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, Another gorgeous creation, I had to read it a few times to see what you did, as to the technic you asked about, I wonder if it is called 'double layer die cutting' or even 'twin die cutting technique'....

I am so pleased I wonder all the dies because I look at them when I see the blog and take the dies out ready to cut out a set to make the card. Added to my list.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good Morning Sue and all that visit this morning. Ohhh my. You can tell a Sue Wilson card straight away. These are what brought me to this lovely blog many years ago. And this just shows how much all your dies and cards are still appreciated by so many crafters. I love everything about it. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏 . Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.

Hi Sue, a very bold card but so different to Saturday's and I like it a lot. The details with pearls of varying sizes and the microbeads are what make your cards special.

Very pretty card with a lot of hidden detail. I know anyone (me included) would love to receive this gorgeous card. I do have a Sue card which is proudly displayed in my LR from years past. Still gives me pleasure when I look at it.
