Birthday

Hi there my crafty friends! I started today's card by cutting the Floral Melody Cover Plate twice.  Both times I cut the die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  As always with this technique, the top card will cut out completely, but the bottom card will only emboss the detail of the design and cut the outer edge.  There are a few exceptions to this, if the die is not very detailed it can sometimes partially cut into the white copy so you need to check before removing it.  If you see any deep cuts, just put a piece of tape over the back before removing it.  If on the other hand the die is very detailed, you will still get the emboss, but it may not cut all the way around the outside.  In this case, just use scissors and the line is so well embossed it is easy to cut with little effort.  I tell you this because some of these cover plates are in the last category.  After cutting both of them, I coloured the design with markers and glued the black die on top.  With my scissors, I followed the design around and nipped away the solid part of the design on both.  I used mounting foam to raise them.   I covered  a larger piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet in the middle.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz, then added the two pieces facing each other.  I cut the Birthday sentiment from the Birthday Shadowed Stacked sentiment die  in black and glued it to the middle. I used dries clear glue in all the flower centres and sprinkled Midnight Snow on them and allowed them to dry thoroughly.  The card was completed with  white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2" in size.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow as the winner of the blog launch will be announced!  All for now, Sue x

Boo To You!

Good Sunday morning all!  I selected a piece of soft grey card to use for the background.  To give it an eerie feel, I swiped  a black distress ink pad across it, then used an old yellow pigment pad (it was almost dry) and then finished with an old Snow Cap pigment ink pad. I used a round die and cut a large moon out of black gloss card and glued it to the upper right corner.   I cut the Skeleton Frame in black and cut it to extend it (without actually extending it), but I glued the pieces into the left and right corners, removing the very top part of it.  I cut the Haunted House die in black and glued a yellow backing behind it.  I added that to cover the cut skeleton frame area.  I added two bats cut from black gloss card above it.  I used the Boo To You sentiment from the same named frame and cut it in black and shadowed it with a white die cut, then glued it to the middle of the card.  The card was completed using white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  9 1/4"  in size.

Paws & Kisses

Hello bloggers!  I selected a piece of Blush card for the background.  I used the large heart stamp from the Pet Pals Stamp set and randomly stamped it all over using the Spun Sugar Distress ink.  Using the Stained Glass Squares die set, I cut two of the middle sized dies, one out of Slate Grey and one out of white card and matted them together.  I cut Pet Pal Bella the cat out of soft grey card and used a fine tipped black felt pen to add the details of her face, with a tiny touch of blue for her eyes.  I cut a white envelope and added a soft pink heart to it and attached it to her mouth.  I cut a soft pink rose and added two green leaves and added it to her tail.  Te kitty bowl and fish skeleton were also added around her.  I scattered tiny pink hearts above her.  The Paws & Kisses sentiment was cut in slate grey and backed with a white shadow backing die then added with mounting foam below the focal element.  The card was completed with white, blush and slate grey mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.

Wishing You Peace, Love & Joy

Hello bloggers!  I selected a piece of white card and embossed it with the Nordic Tiles embossing folder.  Next I cut the outer die from the Holly Ribbon Wave die set in red to create the two outer borders.  I cut the Holly Ribbon Wave die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I used the bottom white copy (which only embosses the design on to it) and used markers to colour it.  I glued the black die cut on top of it then added it across the lower part of the card.  I glued the red borders to the top and bottom of it.  I cut the Wishing You Peace, Love & Joy sentiment out of red card and seated it on a white shadow backing piece.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached it above the border.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7"  in size.

Birthday Shadowed Stacked Sentiment

Hello crafters!  As all good things do, we have come to the last post of the blog launch.  Introducing the Birthday Shadowed Stacked Sentiment set.  This is the final vertical die set of the launch.  This set also has three word dies and three shadow backing dies in it.  I love how the sentiment in right in the centre of the card and this is easily accomplished with these Cover Plate dies too.  As I said in the first post of the blog, I will do the drawing and post the winner on the 22nd of Oct.  The only thing that I need to make you aware of is if there is any significant damage from Hurricane Milton, I may not have internet back up and working by then!  That will delay that process, but please keep checking back after the launch is over.  I have enjoyed sharing these with you and I will remind you for the last time to add your comment to this blog post before you leave!  All for now, Sue x

Thanks Shadowed Stacked Sentiment

Hi there everyone!  This post is dedicated to the Thanks Shadowed Stacked Sentiment set.  This is the second set of the vertical sentiments.  There are six dies in this set, with three word dies and three backing dies.  I have chosen to use the vertical Thanks on it's own for simplicity.  I have completely forgotten to mention that I have included the Pinterest Pinit button on the bottom of every post so feel free to pin any samples or die sets you would like to save for later inspiration.  We are almost to the end, but there is one final set to share with you.  It will be on the blog at 3pm today.  I hope you can make it back here then!  All for now, Sue x

Welcome Shadowed Stacked Sentiment

Hello bloggers!  Welcome to the final day of the die release blog launch.  I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am!  The first die to showcase this morning is the Welcome Shadowed Stacked Sentiment set.  This set has six dies in it which include three words and three backing dies.  You have the option of using all three words together or separately and whether you would like to add the shadow backing die part to them as well.  Personally I find the shadow backing dies work really well if the background behind the sentiment is quite busy, it allows them to be spotlighted a bit more, but always your choice as to how to use them.  Don't forget to add your comment before you leave.  I will return at noon today.  All for now, Sue x

Friend Shadowed Stacked Sentiment

Hello my crafty friends!  The next die to be showcased is the Friend Shadowed Stacked Sentiment set.   This is the first of the three vertical sentiments in the release.  I have been asked for vertical sentiment for quite some time and felt these dies would work well with them!  This set has six dies in it so you have the flexibility of using them however you choose to do so too.  I think you are going to want to add your comment here too (remember maximum entries and all!)  I will ask again, any favourites yet?  I would love to know.  That is all for day two, but we still several more to come starting tomorrow morning at 6am UK time.  Hope to see you then!  All for now, Sue x

Get Well Shadowed Stacked Sentiment

Hi crafters!  The next set that I would like to showcase is the Get Well Shadowed Stacked Sentiment.  Shown here, I have decided to use the entire word set but without the shadow backing dies.  Again, I love the choice that these sets allow you.  You can also see the Butterfly Breeze being used in a different manner, more versatility!  Remember to add your comment at the bottom of the post before you leave!  The final post of the day will be here at 6pm.  All for now, Sue x

Hi there my crafty friends!  The first of the six sentiment sets from this release is the Love Shadowed Stacked sentiment.  This set has six dies in it with three words and three backing dies to it.  You can easily change the orientation of the words to suit your project, which I love as it gives you more choice.  And as an added bonus with this post, you can see a different way to use the main focal dies from the release too.  Don't forget to add a comment and don't forget to sign your name as well too!  I will be back at 3pm with the next offering.  All for now,  Sue x

Floral Harmony Cover Plate

Hello bloggers!  Welcome to the second day of the die release blog launch.  Last of the larger dies, but certainly not least is the Floral Harmony Cover Plate.  I really love the simplicity of this one, the florals really pop on it, don't you think?  Add a little Cosmic Lacquer to them and they jump right out at you too!  Add your comment to the bottom of the post, don't forget one per post, but you can add a comment on every post.  You want to get your name in the drawing as many times as allowed.  The next post will be on the blog at noon UK time today .  All for now, Sue x

Floral Melody Cover Plate

Hello crafters!  The last post on the day is dedicated to the Floral Melody Cover Plate. This beautiful die set has florals, leaves and swirls throughout.
I have also forgotten to mention that you can add any larger sized backing card to these, as I have done here,
if you would like to add a larger sentiment to your card.  It is very easy to do.  How about this one, does it float your boat?  Have you got a favourite from today yet?  There is still more to come, don't worry.  I will be back at 6am tomorrow morning with the start of day two of the launch.  All for now, Sue x
