Christmas Wishes

Hello there my crafty friends!  I have a simple white card with a pop of red to share today.  I started by making a piece of Yupo Paper alcohol inked background.  I used Red Pepper and Rust alcohol inks on the Yupo and then added in some blending solution to give it a mottled effect.  I used the Poinsettia Triple Layer die outer die to die cut my flowers out of it.  I used two die cut flowers and offset them to give more fullness and I did this for each of the three flowers.  Interestingly enough, Yupo paper can't really be shaped the way regular cardstock can so it doesn't give the fullness unless you use two to make a single flower.  I used the Nordic Tiles embossing folder to emboss a piece of white card as my background.  I added a wide white frame over it using the Double Stitched Squares.  I cut a Pierced Flag in white and seated my Christmas Wishes sentiment cut in gold on it.  I added two flowers in the corner off the edge of the sentient flag and the other one in the opposite corner.  I used The Twin Holly Sprays and the Winter Foliage cut in white as accents around the flowers.  White mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4"  in size.    All for now, Sue x

Thanks

Hi crafters!  I have one of my favourite styles of cards to share with you; a cascading floral!  I started with the 3D Bubble Burst embossing folder and embossed a piece of coconut white card.  I coated it with spray glue, the sprinkled Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz all over it.  Next I used the Spiral Pearl Flower and made seven layered flowers of various sizes.  I used Powder Pink for the top layer, Antique Silver card for the middle layer and white for the backing.  I added some shape to each flower by bending the petals to round them.  I added them across the card and used the leaf from the set to add as accents along the way.  The Noble Thanks die was cut in powder pink and Antique silver which I slightly offset behind it.  I then added the word to a white backing shadow and mounted it in the lower corner of the card.  The card was completed with Powder Pink, Antique Silver and white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x.

All The Best

Hi crafters!  I started by covering a piece of acetate with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I used Iced Flake which is the large particles that look a bit like crystalline on the sticky adhesive.  It looks like it has that cracked glass effect in real life.  Next I cut the Tina die repeatedly across a piece of Sky Blue card.  I glued it on top of the Iced Flake background on to the acetate side.  Next I cut the Tina die four more times out of Cobalt card.  I used the long thin fall away pieces from it and paper pieced them back into the background.  Next I cut the Anna die using white as the top, Cobalt blue as the middle layer and added a Sky Blue backing to it.  I cut the centre die using a white on top and bottom and a sky blue middle section and added it to the Anna die.  I seated the Anna die in a diamond orientation in the centre of the background.  I used the All The Best sentiment and cut it out of Cobalt Blue and added it to a white shadow then glued it into the centre of the die.  The card was completed with white, Cobalt Blue and Sky Blue mats and layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.

I approached this question from the point of view of things that would be totally impossible if it weren't for the help of a genie!  I didn't have to do much pondering for my first wish at all, I would like to be able to sing, really belt out a song with a voice like Barbra Streisand or someone like that! I would love to be able to walk out on a stage and sing in front of an audience.  I have never really had stage fright or anything like that, the only thing that stops me is the voice part, sadly(kind of a major thing I know! LOL)    Secondly, I would like to be able to eat anything at all and not gain a pound! In fact, sugar would be a health food in my wish! (In my dreams, I know LOL! )    The third wish would be to wake up every morning and not have to "get ready", the hair and make up fairies would arrive before I wake and do their jobs, my make up and hair would already be done miraculously! You know, like they are on tv! You never see any bedhead,  I always get a kick out that. (Again, in my dreams!LOL)  We can dream though, can't we!   All for now, Sue x

Poinsettia Pixie Frame

Hi bloggers!  What could be better than a Christmas card that uses pixie powder with a side of glitter for extra bling?  I think this one would look great on anyone's mantle piece, don't you!

I haven't asked a pondering question in awhile so here is one for you today!  A Genie pops out of a lamp and grants you three wishes.  The guidelines are that they have to be used on yourself (no ending world hunger or having peace all over the world sort of thing!) and no wishing for more wishes either! LOL  What three things would you like for yourself!  Be completely selfish, but in a good sort of way!  A bit of a ponder needed I should imagine!
