Chrysanthemum Stained Glass Circle

Hi crafters!  Last but not least is the Chrysanthemum Stained Glass Circle.  Lovely and simple in design, but you can see how easy it will be to make an eye catching card with very little effort!  Shown here, a background of pixie powdered card is all it needs to pop off the page!  If this one is shouting to you to bring it home and add to your crafty stash, then why not try to win it in the drawing just by leaving a comment on this post.   It is very easy to do and if you have never done so, then just take a peek at the instructions on the right hand side of the blog.  Well that is it for day one, but don't worry, there is more to come starting here at 6am tomorrow morning!  Hope to see you then!  All for now. Hello bloggers!  The third die in this latest release is the Sunflower Stained Glass circle.  This sunflower is perfect for paper piecing as I have done here as well as using other Creative Expressions products such as Pixie Sparkles, Pearl tints, gilding flakes and many others!  This one is great for those last minute cards too as it is a simple but elegant design.  If this set is right up your alley, then just leave a comment on this post and your name will be entered into the drawing to win it!  I would love to know what you think of these stained glass die designs too.  Do you have a favourite yet?  No worries, there are still more to come!  I will return at 6pm with the final post of the day.  I hope you can join us back here then!  All for now. Gerbera Stained Glass Circle

Hi there my crafty friends!  Next up, we are showcasing the new Gerbera Stained Glass Circle.  This die set is shown here done in a more traditional stained glass method which uses polished silk glitter from behind the die cut image.  If this set is one that appeals to you, then just leave me a comment on this post and you will be entered into the drawing to possibly win this set.  The next offering will be along at 3pm today so I hope you will be able to pop back by the blog for a quick peek!  All for now. October Die Release Blog Launch/ Dandelion Stained Glass Circle

Hello bloggers!  Here we are at the October Die Release Blog Launch!  It will run from today through Friday .  As always, I will be giving away one of each of the 13 dies in this release as well as a non die giveaway you will see later in the release (just to keep you in suspense! LOL)  The giveaway is based on the comments that you leave on each of the posts so please remember to sign your comments with a memorable name, not just your first name as there is often more than one person with the same name on the blog.  Please add in your surname or initial, a city where you live or just a funny alias name so you can be distinguished from others on the blog.  You are welcome to comment on every post (more chances to win!) but please only a single comment per post.  I will be doing the drawings and announcing the winners on October 26th so don't forget to check back and see if your name is one the list.
For the first offering, I would like to share the Dandelion Stained Glass Circle.  These new stained glass dies have been designed in a circle rather than a rectangle like we have done in the past, plus they are all very simple in design so they are perfect for paper piecing or just adding a pretty background to bring them to life!  Let me know what you think of this newest concept in your comments.  I will be back at noon for the next offering.  All for now, Sue x

Hope Your Birthday Is Out Of This World

Hello crafters!  I began this card by embossing a piece of white card with the Twill Weave embossing folder.  Next I cut the Out Of This World die out of black card twice.  I found a piece of background card in my stash that I had made using Midnight Blue Pixie Powders, then I had stenciled stars on to it using the Flake and Glitter glue.  I removed the stencil then applied silver gilding flakes to it.  I cut a piece of it and used it for the backing to the die cut.  I mounted it on the diagonal, then nipped away the large star clusters from the second die cut.  I used a bit of left over background and added it to the stars.  I added them above and below the original die cut.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Fabulous Is What You Are!

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a clean and simple card to share with you today.  I started with a piece of white card and embossed it with the Fanciful Flowers embossing folder.  Next I used a smoothie and inked it lightly with Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Spun Sugar.  I inked a piece of white card with the same colours, then cut the Fabulous die out of it.  I added a black shadow then glued it to the card.  I stamped the rest of the sentiment and cut it out with the tag die and added it with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  8 1/2"  in size.

I do apologise, but I am away on a short holiday and I cannot get any of the extra card pictures to load due to the less than decent internet where I am.  This is the only one I have had any issues with, but after several hours of trying, I have just had to throw in the towel and surrender to it!  I am back home later today so this should be the only issue and the blog will be back to normal tomorrow.     All for now, Sue x

Merry Catmas

Hello crafters!  Its time for a cute Kitty Christmas card!  I started by cutting the Slimline Inner Scalloped Rectangle Aperture Trio along with the Slimline Outer Scalloped Rectangle Aperture Trio.  I cut them both in white and over laid them together.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached an Arctic Blue card backing piece.  I left a wide margin around the die cut so I used the Essential Frames and added a thin red frame on top.  I cut all four cats in gray card and added some accents with a white gel pen.  I added the cats to all three of the apertures and the walking cat was added to the bottom corner of the frame.  I added some of the accessories to the cats too, the yarn ball, a scarf, the kitty bed and a little mouse.  I cut the Merry Catmas out of black card and glued it to the area between the bottom two apertures.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/4"  x  10"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

If Friends Were Flowers

Hello there my crafty friends!  I have another of the Slimline All In Ones to share with you today.  I cut the If Friends Were Flowers in both white and black.  I used the black die cut as a shadow behind the white one.  Next I used Distress inks to colour the flowers.  I used Fossilized Amber for the larger Flowers.  I also added glue to the centres of the three big yellow flowers and sprinkled them with clear micro beads.  I used Spun Sugar and Shaded Wisteria for the smaller flowers.    I added some pale green to the leaves by using Bundled Sage distress ink.  I added a white vellum backing to the die cut.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5"  x  9 1/2"   in size.  All for now, Sue x

Have A Joyful Christmas

Hi bloggers!  Today's festive offering began by embossing a piece of white card with the Stripes Embossing folder.  I added a gold and black mat to the background.  Next I cut the Garland Bauble and the Sparkle Bauble out of Antique Gold Card and added a black gloss card  backing to both of them.  I cut the Bauble Branch out of Antique Gold card twice.  I glued one across the top then added a partial of the second one to extend it across the top of the card.  I cut the beaded drop pieces and added the ornaments to them.  I cut the Have A Joyful Christmas sentiment in both black and gold.  I used the black as a shadow, then glued the sentiment into the lower corner.  The card was completed with white, black and antique gold card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Belated Birthday Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I started with a piece of wisteria card as my background.  Next I cut the Scalloped End Rectangles and I cut one large white frame and three smaller white frames.  I cut a frame out of wisteria card too.  I arranged the two larger frames in the centre of the card, raising the wisteria frame slightly above the white frame.  I recessed the centre of the frame down into the centre of them and added a Button Flower cut out of Khaki with Wisteria flowers.  I cut the Belated Birthday Wishes out of both wisteria and black.  I used the black as a shadow, then glued the sentiment inside the frame.  I cut all three of the smaller frames in half and added them to the top and bottom edges of the card.  The card was completed with white, black and wisteria mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  9"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
