You Are My Sunshine

Hello bloggers!  I started by cutting the Square Aperture out of a piece of Pixie Sparkled card from my stash.  I used Beyond Blue and Groovy Grape and then used a paintbrush to combine the colours a bit.  I lined up the aperture with a piece of white card and taped the inner scalloped dies into place then cut it.  I glued the white scalloped piece to the pixied aperture and added mounting foam to raise it.  I added a white backing piece to it.  Using the Double Stitched Squares, I added a white frame on top of the pixie sparkled aperture too.  Next I used the Springtime Frame and cut it out of various colours (silver, tan. rust, green and wisteria).  Rather than cutting the entire frame each time, I just used a small piece of card over the area that I wanted.  I nipped apart the images and used them in three of the four apertures.  I used the You Are My Sunshine in the fourth aperture, cut out of a leftover piece of the pixied card and shadowed in black.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  7 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Here's To New Beginnings

Good Sunday morning all!  Here's a clean and simple card for you today.  I started with a piece of white card ad used the Decorative Squared Octagons and taped three of the smaller dies together and randomly cut them into the card all over.  I cut the Dandelion Stained Glass in black card and used a piece from my background stash to back it with.  It was created by using Coral Crush and Pumpkin Patch Pixie Sparkles.  I added it with mounting foam to the top left corner.  I cut the Here's To New Beginnings in black and glued it to the lower right corner of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are The Best

Hello crafters!  I had a play with some of the newer colours of Pixie Sparkles here.  I used the Molten Gold and the Boulevard Lights Pixie Sparkles.  I used the Clipped Corner Rectangles to make a Multi-layered frame using black card as the base and Black Gloss card as the top layer.  I added it with mounting foam over the background and trimmed away any excess card from underneath the frame.  I cut two vases out of black gloss card from the Elegant Arrangements set and the Beautiful Blossoms die sets.  I added some stems to both cut from black card.  I added the vases to the left inside the frame and used the You Are The Best sentiment cut in white on the opposite side.  I added the frame to a piece of white card then completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  8"   in size.

There are still two unclaimed dies from the blog launch drawings.  Please scroll down to check the list that was published on Tuesday and contact me if your name is on the list!  All for now, Sue x

Happy Birthday

Hi bloggers!  I started today's card by cutting the Ric Rac Ribbon Background twice out of white card.  I offset them to create a slightly different pattern to the background, then added a piece of raspberry card behind to show through.  Using the Double Stitched Circles, I cut a wide white frame and added it with mounting foam over the background.  I cut away the excess background around the circular frame.  I used the Scalloped Squares and cut two sizes to use as mats behind the circular frame.  I cut the Noble Happy Birthday sentiment out of both raspberry card and black card.  I shadowed the sentiment and glued it inside the frame.  Using the Cosmos Flowers, I cut enough of them to make three flowers.  I inked the centres of the flowers with Picked Raspberry ink, then spritzed them with water.  I scrunched the flowers, then allowed them to dry before assembling them.  I added two flowers to the upper part of the frame and the other one in the opposite corner.  I used the foliage from the Pinwheel Floral set cut in white as accents for the flowers.  The card was completed with white, raspberry and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You're Fintastic

Hello crafters!  I cut the Circle Aperture in white, then used the inner scallops and lines them up with the die cut and cut them out of another piece of white card.  I glued the two apertures together to get both the inner and outer scalloped apertures.  I selected a piece from the background stash that was made using Zesty Lime and Teal Marine Pixie Sparkles.  I added it to the back of the apertures.  I cut various fish, seaweeds, castle and seahorses from the Fishbowl and Mermaid Kisses die sets to fill in the four apertures.  I used the You're Fintastic sentiment from the Underwater Accessories die set and glued it in the centre of the card.  Using the Double Stitched Squares, I made a multi-layered frame with a black base frame and a wider teal frame on top.  I added it over the circle apertures with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white and lack mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Just Another Day In Paradise

Hi bloggers!  I cut the Beach Sailboat Stained Glass die out of aqua card to start today's card.  I added a piece of sticky adhesive sheet to some white card then hand cut it into a half circle shape and added it behind the sailboat in the ocean area.  I used Ice Blue Polished Silk Glitter in the exposed adhesive areas which gave the ocean a bit of bling.  I cut the sailboat a second time in red card and nipped away the flag and the bottom of the boat and glued them on to the original aqua die cut.  Next I cut the middle decorative die for the backing.  I lightly inked the top with Tumbled Glass Distress ink then attached the sailboat die cut to the centre of it.  I used a fine tipped pen and added in some birds to the background.  I cut the outer background die out of cobalt blue card, then backed it with red card to show through the corner designs.  I added the sailboat on to a larger piece of white card and cut the Just Another Day in Paradise sentiment out of cobalt blue card.  I glued it below the sailboat.  The card was completed with white, red and cobalt blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 3/4"  in size.

I posted the list of winners from the blog launch yesterday and we still have several unclaimed dies.  Please scroll down to the post below this one to check the list for your name!   All for now, Sue x

Love

Hi bloggers!  I didn't quite get all my heart themed cards on the blog before Valentine's Day, still have a few more to share.  I started this card by cutting the Heart Aperture out of white card.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it.  I embossed a piece of white card with the Bed Of Roses folder and attached the aperture to it to use as a backing.  I cut a red frame using the Noble Decorative Hearts die set and glued it around the centre heart aperture.  From the Heart Accessories die set, I cut the love heart in red and recessed it into the centre heart aperture.  I cut the single rose and the miss you and added them into the left heart aperture.  For the right aperture, I cut the Be Mine and the bow and arrow.  I used the single rose head and cut six of them cut in red and added them into opposite corners.  I added green leaves as accents to them.  The card was completed with white, red and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/4"  x  9 3/4" in size.

Don't forget to check back later on this afternoon as I will be posting the winners from the February die release blog launch!   All for now, Sue x
