Let It Snow

Hello bloggers!  in it's Arctic blue and white colour combo, I hope you think frosty Christmas when you see this one!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Nordic Tiles embossing folder for texture.  Next, I cut the Denise die using the outer decorative die as a base.  I cut three of the inner decorative dies, with two of three three using the snowflake centre and the last one I left solid.  I backed one of the smaller dies with an arctic blue card, then added it to the larger base with foam.  I attached all three going across the card in a diamond orientation with the largest one in the centre overlapping the two smaller dies.  I cut the Let It Snow shadowed sentiment out of arctic blue and added a white shadow base, then glued it into the centre of the card.  The card was finished with coconut white and arctic blue mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Birthday

Hello crafters!  Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!  I have a fun Happy Birthday card to share today.  I started by cutting the Dotty Balloons dies out of several different colours of card; red, aqua, wisteria, cobalt and iris card.  I added white backings to all of them and white squiggle strings.  I attached them to the top of the card with mounting foam for dimension and glued the strings down into a single point.  I cut the Noble Happy Birthday die out of white and black.  I used the black to shadow the Happy portion of the die and glued it to the left of the card.  For the Birthday version, I coloured each of the letters with a different polished silk glitter.  I used spray glue over the entire word, then masked each letter then poured the glitter over them.   It did take a little bit of time, but it looks great in real life (my close up pics grab all the sparkle the best!)   The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Merry & Bright

Hello all!  It's back to a clean and simple style for today's offering.  I started by cutting the Poinsettia Flower Square die in white.  I glued it to a piece of clear acetate.  Using Crystal tints, I filled in the flower with Rose Quartz, the leaves with Lime Peridot and the very centre with Yellow Citrine and allowed it to dry.  I added a white backing piece to it then seated it on an outer cut using the Denise die set.  I glued it to the upper part of a piece of coconut white card. I used the Merry & Bright Noble sentiment, cut in red.  I decided to put it on the card in a diagonal style below the poinsettia.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/2" in size.   All for now, Sue x

You Are The Best

Hi crafters!  Today's card is a Quilt card made using the Ring Quilt die set.  I started by cutting it in white card and I backed it with white.  I glittered four of fall away pieces with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbirz and glued them back into the outer corners.  I made a multi layered frame using an Old Rose card base and a thinner white frame added to the top.  I attached it with mounting foam over the Ring Quilt card.   I cut a smaller square out of white card and added a white base .  With mounting foam, I attached it in a diamond orientation in the centre of the card.  I cut the You Are the Best sentiment out of Old Rose card and glued it into the centre of the card.  I used the Cosmos Flower die set to add three flowers made from Old Rose card as the base with white
outlines on top.  I seated the flowers in the corner of the card and in the opposite corner of the sentiment.  The card was completed with white and Old Rose mats and layers.  the finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Season's Greetings

Hi there my crafty friends!  This one was a demo during my Sept. shows on C & C.  I started with the Hunter Green Glitter Kiss and I used the applicator to put circles of the glitter kiss on to black card.  Once they dried, I added some Fire Red circles, slightly overlapping the green in some places.  Lastly I added the Sahara Gold Glitter Kiss circles.  Just make sure the applicator has a thin coat and that you have wiped off any around the sides of the applicator.  Place it firmly down and give it a small twist and pull up, it makes pretty circles.  Once dry, I added it to the Ruffle Edged Frame and used the inside die as a decorative mat for it.  I cut the centre section in white and added it with foam.  I used the red glitter Kiss and coated a piece of card and allowed it to dry well.  I cut both the Season's Greetings sentiment and the Poinsettias out of it.  I added the sentiment to a white shadow and glued it in the centre of the card.  I assembled the flower and added it in the lower corner with Evergreen Branches cut from green card as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

For You

Good Sunday morning all!  I started with a piece of card that I covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Gemstones Gilding Flakes.  I used a rubitscrubit pad to move the flakes all over the card and refine and remove the excess flakes.  I embossed it with the Ribbon Swirls embossing folder for texture.  For the focal element, I cut the Vivian die out of another piece of card that I added more gilding flakes to in the same manner  I backed the die cut with a white card backing and added the black edge to it using the two outer dies in the Vivian set.  I added mounting foam to the back and added it to the centre of the card.  I cut the centre of the die in white and added a black backing to it then layered it up in the middle.  I used the For You sentiment in black and glued it to a white Pierced Flag die and added it across the centre of the card.  Using the Striped Nasturtiums, I cut the solid flowers out of a remaining piece of the gilded card and added white outlines over the top.  I seated the flower to the left side of the sentiment flag and added Lace Edged leaves as accents in white.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  6 3/4" in size.    All for
now, Sue x
