Tis The Season

Hello crafters!  I selected some milk card for the background and embossed it with the Padded Quilt embossing folder.  Next I cut the outer die and the middle die from the Holly Wreath Octagon and cut it together out of milk card.  I backed it with Old Rose card.  I added it to the centre of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Tis The Season sentiment with a piece of Old Rose card on top of a piece of milk card.  I used the words from the Old Rose die cut and glued them on to the shadow backing piece which was cut from the bottom milk card.  I added it to the middle of the die cut with mounting foam.  Using the Pierced Poinsettias, I cut each size twice and assembled the flowers.  I added the largest and smallest flower to the lower left side and the medium sized flower to the opposite corner.  I cut several leaves out of milk card and accented each of the flowers with them.  The card was completed with milk and old rose mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8"  in size.  All for now. Autumn Greetings

Hello bloggers!  I cut a piece of white card and lightly inked some clouds in the background using Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar distress inks around a hand cut cloud stencil piece.  Next I cut the tufts of grass out of a couple different shades of green card.  I glued them along the bottom of the card.  I cut the tree trunk from the Daisy the Deer die set in shades of brown and glued in to the left side of the card.  I added a few small mushrooms from the Autumn Harvest set as well as a pine cone and a couple of leafy sprigs.  I cut Bailey the Bunny out of two shades of grey card and assembled her and sat her atop the tree trunk.  I cut the Autumn Greetings out of a piece of card that I used a variety of Enchanted Sprinkles on to give it an autumnal look.  I added the letters and outline to a white shadow backing piece then added it with mounting foam to the top of the card.  I cut two butterflies out of the same autumnal card and glued them in the sky.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Have Your Elf a Merry Christmas

Hello bloggers!  I made this card over a year ago, but it never was posted so I thought I would share it now.  I started with Jamie Rodger's set of stamps called Mrs. Christmas and Elves.  I stamped the Mrs. Santa Claus and the two elves in black and coloured them with markers.  I used the matching dies and cut them out.  To create the background, I used the Have your elf a Merry Christmas in black randomly all over a piece of white card.  I covered the card with a sticky adhesive sheet and then coated it in two white panels Diamond White glitter.  I cut the Postage Stamp Rectangles and layered them and added them to the stamped background.  I added the three characters that I had cut out previously with mounting foam.  I stamped the sentiment one more time onto white card and cut it out with the postage stamp rectangles.  I matted it with a red mat also cut with the postage stamp rectangles and added it above the elves on the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Wish You Were Here

Hello crafters!  For today's card, I started by cutting three small oval frames, using Jamie Rodgers Plain Oval dies.  I added mounting foam to the back of each of the ovals.  Next I cut a piece of white card to fit behind the ovals and inked the bottom sections on all three of them with Salty Ocean Distress ink.  I cut three pieces of the sand from the Beach Bathers die and glued it to the bottom of the cards for each of the ovals and then added the oval frames to them.  I cut the Beach Bathers out of milk card and coloured the swimsuits with markers.  I added each of them to the oval frames with mounting foam.  I glued the "straw" hats on to each of them and added a thin piece of matching ribbon and a tiny flower.  I cut two of the palm trees out of tan card and green card.  I used the fronds from the green card and glued them onto the tan palm trees from the Palm Beach die set.  I cut the beach bucket in blue and added a red shovel and glued all the pieces into the corner of a white backing piece.  I cut the Wish You Were Here sentiment in black and added it to a white shadow backing piece and added it to the top right corner of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  9 1/2" in size.

Hello crafters!  I thought I would share another card from the newest Woodland Collection.  I selected a piece of Linen Textured paper in the colour of Bark.  I added two strips of black card matted with a thin white mat in a cross manner.  I cut several of the mushrooms from the Autumn Harvest die set.  I cut the base out of light grey card and sponged some Gathered Twigs distress ink lightly around it.  I added caps cut from brown card to all of them.  I arranged the mushrooms on the vertical black strip with several tufts of grass in between.  I cut two fern fronds from the Forest Floor Foliage die set out of a piece of card that I used several Enchanted Sprinkles on, giving it a real fall foliage feel.  I added the fronds from the top of the mushrooms as accents.  I cut the Thank You sentiment from the Autumn Wreath die set in white and added it to the horizontal black strip.  The card was completed with black and white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  8" in size.

Leaves Are Falling Autumn Is Calling

Forest Floor Foliage

Hello bloggers!  Welcome to the final day of the blog launch.  We only have two more dies to share with you today, but first up this morning is the Forest Floor Foliage.  Shown here, you can see the lovely fern fronds that I have used to create a scalloped background with.  This set of nine dies also includes a larger stemmed flower, an acorn, an unfurled frond, a long twig, a stemmed plant with pods as well as the beautiful fern frond that you may have noticed in a lot of the sample cards.  This is what I would call a builder set as you can use so many of the dies to help create beautiful scenes for your focal elements.  Add your comment and join me back her at noon for the final die set.  All for now, Sue x

So Thankful For You

Hello crafters!  The third independent sentiment is the So Thankful For You.  This sentiment has been done in three dies as well, so you can use the two shadow dies to create a pretty frame around your sentiment as I have one in the sample shown here.  I really like this look so you might see more sentiments done this way in future releases too.  This post offers you another chance to enter the drawing to win this collection so please add a comment to this post and don't forget to add your name to it!

Hello there my crafty friends!  We are showcasing the second of our individual sentiments during this launch.  This one is Best Wishes and it has been done in three dies.  The sentiment is separate and there are two shadow dies added so you can easily use them to create a pretty frame around your sentiment if desired.  The two words in the sentiment can also be used independently as they are not hooked to each other.  So if you want to separate the words around your card, you are able to do that.  This is one more chance to gain the maximum amount of entries into the drawing too so don't forget to add a comment to this post.  Let me know what you think of the release so far!  The last post for today will be on the blog at 6pm.  All for now, Sue x

Millie the Mouse
