Christmas Greetings

Hello crafters!  I began today's card by cutting a piece of white card.  I cut two of the Heart Scalloped Border in red and glued them to the top and bottom edges of the card.  Next, I cut one of the sections from Jamie's Christmas Kaleidoscope in white four times.  I arranged them in a half circle in the middle of the card.  Using Jamie's Traditional Poinsettia die, I cut enough to make four small red poinsettias and one large red poinsettia. I used Ruby Red Glitter Texture paste on each of the flowers.  Next,  I added the small flowers to each section of the half circle and the larger flower was added at the bottom with a thin white ribbon bow.  I cut the Christmas Greetings sentiment in black and glued it to a white shadow backing piece.  I added it at the top of the card with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  9 1/2"  in size All for now. Christmas Greetings

Hi bloggers!  Today's card is a real simple one that used only a few dies.  I cut a piece of white card and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut a handful of Jamie's Fern die out of green card.  I laid each one down on to the sticky adhesive sheet, trying to get them as close together as possible without overlapping them.  Once complete, I filled in with Diamond White glitter over all the remaining sticky areas.  Using the Pierced Square Frames, I cut one larger and one smaller out of white card with a piece of black card underneath.  I glued the black piece to each of the white frames. I added two layers of mounting foam to the larger frame and glued the smaller one into the centre with a piece of white card behind it.  I added it to the middle of the background in a diamond orientation with mounting foam.  I cut the Christmas Greetings in black and glued it to the inside of the frame.  I added one small glittered white poinsettia to the left corner with some fernery as an accent.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8"  in size.  All for now. Hope Your Day is Full of Sunshine

Hello crafters!  I started today's card by cutting a piece of white card.  I cut a piece of sticky adhesive sheet with an uneven top to it, then coated it with sand.  I used the Fine Postage Stamp Rectangles and cut three of them in white.  I sponged Sailboat Blue distress ink on the bottom part of all three of them.  Next I cut each of the Beach Bathers out of milk card.  I used markers to colour the swimsuits.  I cut matching hats for each of them using the die. I covered the hat part of it and cut each one twice out of the colours to match their swimsuits.  I hand cut around the brim of the hat and on the second cut, I hand cut just the centre of the hats.  I added mounting foam to the centres and added them to the larger brim.  I cut the small sun in yellow and glued it to the one on the right.  I cut the plane in blue then added the banner in white.  I used a fine tipped marker to trace the wording, then added it across the other two rectangles.  On the sand, I added the signpost, the sand castle, the beach bucket and shovel and a few seashells from the Beach Accessories die set.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello there my crafty friends!  You may recognize this card as I demoed it when I was on Hobby Maker in Sept last year.  I started with a piece of antique gold card and embossed it with the Nordic Tiles embossing folder.  Next I used the die from the Pierced Square Frames die set and cut a square frame in white and backed it with black to show through the dots.  I added mounting foam to the back of it  and added a piece of white card that I embossed with the Falling Snow embossing folder.  I cut a small circle out of black gloss card and glued it in the upper corner of the frame.  I cut two of the Snow Covered Pine Trio in white.  I glittered the main tree body then added the top open tree die to them both and seated them inside the frame.  I cut the Peace sentiment in both white and gloss black card.  I used the white as a shadow offset behind the black die cut and glued it below the frame.  I cut two poinsettias out of gloss black card, assembled them and added them to the corner of the frame.  I added some white fronds cut from the Evergreen Branches to the flowers as accents.  The card was completed with white, antique gold and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Dreaming Of A White Christmas

Hello crafters!  First, I have to admit that I am still rather short of cards so I will be sharing some of the cards that I made last year before I started the blog back up and just to forewarn you, they are all Christmas cards!  I started today's card by covering a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated the top portion of the card with an assortment of glitters.  I used Brilliant Blue, Light Purple, Lavender and Lilac glitters across the sky area.  I embossed a piece of white card with the Falling Snow embossing folder, then cut it into hills for the bottom of the card.  I cut three of the Snow Covered Pine Trio die set in white.  I glittered the base tree with Diamond White glitter then added the outline die on top of each of the trees.  I cut the cottage in white from the Winter Wonderland set and added it to the hill.  I cut the horse drawn carriage from the Winter Wonderland set and glued it to the bottom edge of the card.  I used Jamie's Dreaming of a White Christmas sentiment in black and shadowed it in white then glued it to the top of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Guess Who Thinks You're Special

Hello bloggers!  Here's another bright and cheerful card for you!  I started today's card by embossing a piece of white card with the Quilted Heart Embossing folder.  Next, I cut a frame using the Double Stitched Ovals and added mounting foam to the back of it and seated it on a Looped Oval cut in white.  I added it to the middle of the embossed background with mounting foam.  Next I cut the Butterfly Cluster with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I used the white card to colour the design with markers.  Once coloured, I glued the black die cut on top.  I added it to the bottom of the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the  Guess Who Thinks You're Special sentiment out of black card and glued it inside the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Wishing You A Day Full of Sunshine

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started today's card by cutting a piece of white card for the background.  I decided to sponge some Antique Linen distress ink on the bottom of the card for the look of sand.  Next I cut the Beach towel and the umbrella from the Beach accessories die set.  I cut the towel in white then added stripes of aqua card and ocean card.  I cut the umbrella out of ocean card, then added the sections of aqua to it and a white pole to it.  I cut the Beach Bather with the polka dotted swimsuit and coloured her with markers.  I did the beach hat by cutting the die two more times with a small piece of ocean card.  I hand cut around the brim on one and just the very centre of the hat on the other one.  I added the smaller part with mounting foam for the 3D look of the hat.  I cut the plane out of teal card an added the banner cut out of white card.  I used a fine tipped marker to trace the words on the banner.  I added the larger sun cut in white in the upper corner.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
