Geometric Quilt Card

Hello crafters!  Here is a fun idea to use when making cards with any of the Quilt die sets.  You can create some lovely patterns, just by moving the patterns around and putting them together!

The finished dimensions are 7"  x

Heartfelt Thanks

Hello crafters!  It is the Eternal Heart Tree that is the star of today's offering.  I started by cutting the trunk section of the tree out of tan card.  I inked it lightly with Vintage Photo ink while still in the die.  Next I cut the tree top area out of Old Rose card with a piece of Powder Pink card underneath it.  The old rose cut out completely, but the powder pink cut mostly just the outside line  (I had to tape a couple of hearts back in place).  I used that one as a base and glued the Old rose over the top of it.  I put it back into the die and embossed it so the hearts popped out a bit more.  I added mounting foam to the back of it and glued the tree base into place.  Next I used the Stitched Hills and Clouds die and cut a little hill to go behind it.  I added it to a white backing and then added the tree to it.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a triple layered frame for it out of white.  I added extra layers of foam to each of the frames going upward in height so the smallest one was the tallest and added them over the tree.  I used the tree top one more time with some scrap pink card and cut a few extra hearts, which I added to the area next to the tree. I cut a strip of vellum and seated the Heartfelt Thanks sentiment on it and added it across the top of the tree.   The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Put Another Candle On Your Birthday Cake

Hi bloggers!  I am just loving these All In One collection!  This one is so great for a quick birthday card too!  I started by embossing the Rose Bed embossing folder and then cutting it diagonally down the middle.  I added it to another piece of coconut white card to create the background.  Next I cut the Another Candle Birthday Cake in white with a piece of blush card behind it.  I used the outline left on the blush card to nip away everything but the centre of the cake.  I kept it to put in place at the end.  I used the same technique to do the flowers, but just used small pieces to cover the flower areas.  These were done in Old Rose Card with Khaki card leaves.  I glued them in place from the back of the white die cut.  I cut the base out of silver card then glued it in place.  Next I added the blush card behind the cake portion.  I cut the die again out of Old Rose but only a small piece to cover the word "Put Another" and I paper pieced them back into the white die cut.  I added the birthday cake on to my background with foam mounting tape to raise it.  Using Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue, I added some to each of the candle's flames then sprinkled Iced Snow on to it and allowed it to dry.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  6 1/4"  x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

I'm Tickled Pink For You

Hello guys!  I'm switching gears and showing off the  Tickled Pink flamingo set for today's offering.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Rose Bed embossing folder (kind of in love with that one!)  Next I cut two large circle framers using the Double Stitched Circles and added a white card backing to them.  I used mounting foam to add them to the background in opposite corners. Using the Tickled Pink set,  I cut three flamingos in pink card and used a marker to colour their bills black.  I also used a white pencil to add some highlights to the wings.  I put two in the lower circle with their necks wrapped )I like that it formed a nice heart shape!)  The top circle was for the one with the bent neck.  I added several of the small hibiscus as accents and also used the leaves from the Tropical Flora die set.  I cut the sentiment in pink and added a black offset as an accents behind it and glued it in to the lower corner.  the card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now Sue x

Guess Who Thinks You're Special

Hello there my crafty friends!  I selected an aqua and white colour combo for today's offering.  I cut the Decorative Flags in white and did four of each design style except the square edged one, which I cut two of.  I added the decorative flags to a piece of aqua card and cut them to make differing lengths of each, then glued the cut ends to the centre of the card.  I cut one of the Joanie's Border die in white, cut it in the middle then and ran it down the centre of the flags from the top and bottom of the card, leaving a gap in the middle.  Next I cut a Double Stitched Circle and added mounting foam to it.  I embossed a piece of white card with the Rose Bed embossing folder and added the circle to it, then trimmed the excess away around the edge of the circle.  I seated the circle in the middle of the card, covering the gap in the borders.  I cut the Guess Who Thinks You're Special die in Ocean card and added a black shadow behind, then glued it into the circle.  Using the extra flowers from the Magnolia Corner die set, I made seven small flowers and clustered them on opposite sides of the circle.  I added the leaves from the Magnolia Corner as accents to the flowers.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Sparkle Every Day

Hello crafters!  I was having a play with our new Pearl Opal Polishes and came up with this card!  I started by covering a piece of card with Red Pearl, Green Pearl and Blue Pearl Opal Polishes.  I swiped the different colours across the card until I filled it and set it aside to dry well.   They look different depending on what colour card you apply them to as well.   Next I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to cut out the centre section and I added mounting foam to it to raise it.  I glued the outer frame to another piece of card as a backing and added the raised centre section to the middle.  I cut the Sparkle Every Day All in One out of both Antique Gold and Black card and used the black as an offset shadow behind it and glued both of them to the centre of the card.  I made an assortment of flowers using the Magnolia Corner's extra flowers and cut them out of some extra of the Opal polish card.  I added gold accents using the larger die from the Magnolia Corner set and arranged all the flowers and leaves in opposite corners.  The card was completed with white, gold and black mats and layers  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
