Birthday Wishes

Hello bloggers!  I used the Birthday Balloons die set to create today's background.  I cut the round, oval, star and heart balloons out of yellow, orange and raspberry card.  I glued them randomly on to a piece of black card.  I embossed the card with the Twill Weave embossing folder.  I glued it onto a larger piece of white card.  I used the Birthday Wishes from the Balloon Tail Sentiments die set, but this time I used them horizontally like a regular sentiment (they work nicely both ways!)  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  X  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Halloween

Hello spooky friends!  I used the House Front Shaped die released earlier in the year for today's card.  I cut the house out of slate grey card and added black roofs to it.  I added a piece of pale yellow card behind the windows and added small ghosts from the Haunted House die set in three of the windows.  I cut a couple of pieces of brown card and attached them crisscrossed over the centre window for a more haunted look.  Several bats were added to the roof and lower window.  I cut a large pale yellow circle and added it in the corner with the small flying witch and part of the spider's web too.   I cut Jamie's spooky tree die in black and glued it to the purple background next to the house.  I added some distressed gravestones around it as well as a few pumpkins from the Halloween frame.  Several pieces of the spooky gate were added in front of the house. Lastly, I added one of the Ghoulish Ghosts, cut in vellum for a more ghostly look, in the upper corner.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are The Best

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of pixied card to use as the background.  I used Midnight Blue and Aqua Lagoon on it.  I glued it to a larger piece of white card.  Using the Poinsettia Scalloped border, I cut the lattice portion with the looped edges twice out of white card.  I adhered it to the bottom of the pixied piece, then added a thin strip of the pixied card to hide the seam.  I cut the Vintage Labels into a large white fame.  I attached it to the background with mounting foam.  Next I used the Double Stitched Octagons and cut one out of the leftover pixied card, then  shadowed it with a black frame.  I added a white backing to it with mounting foam, then attached it to the centre of the card.  I used the You Are The Best Sentiment cut in black and glued it inside the frame.  I cut three Heart Leaved Flowers and glittered them with Diamond Sprinkles.  I attached them around the sentiment then added leaves from the Magnolia Corner die cut in white.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Birthday

Hello bloggers!  I have an almost all white card to showcase on the blog today.  I started with a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet attached to it.  From there, I cut the smaller balloons from the Birthday Balloons die set in white.  I attached them to the sticky sheet around the edges of the card.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on the remaining exposed adhesive areas.  I cut another square of white card and added mounting foam to the back to raise it and seated it in the centre of the card.  Using the words from the Birthday Wishes Background, I cut the "happy" three times in white by just putting a small strip of white card over the word in the die I wanted.  I glued all three "happy" words on top of each other in a line going down the card, then I used the larger "Birthday" from the centre of the die.  I had a small piece of rainbow scrap left from another project and laid that across that part of the die to cut it.  I glued the rainbow Birthday underneath the three stacked happy's that I cut.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7 3/4"  in size.

I posted the list of winners yesterday but not all the dies have been claimed yet.  Please scroll down to the post below this one to see if your name is on the list of winners!

I also want to let you know that Jamie Rodgers is on HobbyMaker today at 2pm and 5pm and he is also on there Thursday at 6am and 7am.  He is going to be showcasing my  recently released Birthday Collection.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Halloween

Hello there my spooky friends!  I selected a deep blue pixied background from my stash as the base for this card.  I used Midnight Blue Pixie Powders on a piece of white gloss card, then spritzed it with water and covered it with cling film that I scrunched up on it and set it aside to dry.  I cut a circle in white and glued it to the upper corner and added the small flying witch from the Haunted House die set. I cut Jamie's  Spooky Tree in black and glued it to the background and added a raven on the lower branch.  I cut several gravestones out of slate grey card and inked the edges with Black Soot distress ink then scattered them around the tree and glued them into place.  From the same set of Jamie's Graveyard, I cut three of the gate and attached them in front of the gravestones.  I cut the mummy from the Halloween Frame in white, then used a grey pencil to accent the mummy wrappings and lightly inked him with Weathered Wood distress ink before attaching him in the lower right corner.  I cut Jamie's Happy Halloween in black and shadowed it in white then glued it in the upper corner.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  8 1/2"  in size.

I will be posting the winners from the September die release blog launch this afternoon.  Don't forget to pop back by the blog then to see if your name is on the list of winners!    All for now, Sue x

Peace On Earth

Hello crafters!  How about a monochromatic Christmas card for a change!  I used the Round Corner Squares to make a multi-layered frame using a wider white base, a thin black middle and a thin silver top piece.  Next I cut the Wreath Frame a couple of times out of white card.  I cut the frame into parts and attached them to the inside of the frame using mounting foam.  I attached the frame to a slightly larger piece of white card.  I used the Round Corner Squares again and cut a smaller multi-layered frame for inside the larger frame of the card.  I layered four of the Round Corner Square dies together and taped them then cut a piece of silver card and a piece of black card with them.  I taped the back of the silver card pieces so they would stay together, then added a single black frame to the top inside of the frame.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached a white backing piece to it, then added it to the centre of the card.  I cut the Peace On Earth sentiment in black and glued it into the frame.  The card was completed with white, black and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

Happy Birthday

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a fun shaker card to share with you today.  I selected a piece of raspberry card for the background.  I used the Looped Squares to make a white  multi-layered frame.  I used the Double Stitched Squares to cut the inside of the frame.  I glued a piece of clear acetate to the inside of the frame, the added mounting foam to the back of the frame.  I cut the Looped Squares in orange, raspberry and yellow card and saved the fall away pieces and used them in the frame for the shaker pieces.  I added a white backing to the frame to encapsulate the shaker pieces, then glued it on to the raspberry background.  I used one of the Birthday Gifts and cut it in three colours, then layered them and added a white bow.  I glued it onto the top of the acetate.  I cut the Noble Happy Birthday die in both white and black, shadowed it then glued it below the framed shaker element.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"   in size.  All for now. Sue x
