Hi bloggers! I just love these bright backgrounds with the Big Bold Word dies! I started with some
Pearlescent watercolour inks (Lemon Glacier and Stormy Sky) and applied them in a diagonal striped sort of manner. I spritzed them with water to get the colours to flow into each other a bit, then used my heat tool to dry the background. Next I cut the
Birthday Big Bold Word out of black card twice and glued them together. I glued them to the background, then filled in the letters one at a time with
Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue. I used
Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on each of the letters, then tapped off the rest. Once completely dry, the letters turn clear and you have my rock candy technique giving them a shimmery glitter, but allowing the background to show through. I stamped and cut out the sentiment tags and added them above and below the Birthday die cut. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x

I just love, love, love this die. I was lucky enough to win it at release and would have worn it out by now if not for the quality of your dies lol !!
I have paper pieced glittered letters with it and it really worth the effort. I now have the outline in glitter and am wondering what to do with it, come on mojo !

I really love the background on todays card. I think I should spend a day or two just making backgrounds and get some use out of the many things I've purchased over the years. Those BIG BOLD letters look great on so many different cardsdon't they.
