Hi bloggers! Today's card was a bit of an experiment with a new product, but I rather liked the results. I started with the Slimline Floral Swirl mask taped to a piece of white card. I used the Daydream Blue Matt Chalk Polish through it and allowed it to dry (about 5 minutes). Once dry, I painted our new Shimmer Pearl Glaze over the top of it and set it aside to dry. It is very subtle, but gives it a sort of frosted look. Next I cut the Slimline Decorative Squared Rectangles in white and added it with mounting foam. I had applied some of the Matt Chalk Polish to another piece of card and used it to cut the Thanks sentiment and the three Striped Nasturtium solid flowers out of that I used. I added the Thanks to a white shadow backing and used foam to mount it inside the frame. I cut the Striped Nasturtiums outline dies out of white and glued them over the solid pieces, then arranged them in opposite corners of the card. I used Lace Edged Leaves as accents around them. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 4 3/4" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue this is beautiful, so soothing for the mind. I'm not big on backgrounds probably because I don't have the confidence to try but I'm big on folders and use often although I need to replenish my designs, but I need to investigate these new Shimmer pearl glaze products even if I just use them to paint over expression dies or flower dies, why - because IM WORTH IT wink wink Rosie and Ann lol. loving the card. It is so easy on the eye, and you've convinced me that I must use this colour combination.
By the way, your slimline designs have come in at the right time. I sent a card to Germany (A5 size but wouldn't go through the slot, so therefore a LARGE CARD, and I had to sign a custom certificate, now that we have left the EU - such a nonsense, but there you go).
