Miss You

Good Sunday morning all!  I decided to use up some of my scrap card and came up with this card.  I cut 1/2" strips of lilac, aqua, blush, and blue dusk card.  I attached a sticky adhesive sheet to a piece of copy paper then added the strips to it, butting each one up next to each other.  I cut the piece into three pieces.  I use the Slimline Stitched Rectangle Aperture Trio cut in white.  I added mounting foam to the back then added the three sections of the striped card.  I attached the centre on so the lines were vertical and the two side section were at opposite diagonals.  I cut the Splendid Swirls in white and added one to each of the side sections.  I cut the Miss You sentiment twice and glued them together then added it to the centre section.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/4"  x  9 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hiya Sue. I like many here have storage boxes, bags, bags that packs of cardstock came in all full of scraps and tiny corners that would take just 1 single tiny peony die, so when you showed us the ombre 'Thank you' card about 4yrs ago I got started with my scraps, then you showed us another technique and my ombre turned into something else, now I have no reason to stock up my market baskets you put this lovely idea in my head, it looks so fresh and clean and spring like and it makes me smile, a real girls card but think of the darker colour cardstock and we have one for the lads too. Hope our poorly sisters and our sisters that are in pain physically and emotionally have a better day than yesterday and that tomorrow will be a brighter day. Sending much love to all this Sunday xxx

Good Morning Sue and all.
What a beautiful card. So delicate and peaceful and the sentiment feels like a hug.
Today is already better than yesterday and I have stopped feeling sorry for myself.
I thought I might be the only one with bags and boxes full of scraps in various sizes and colours but I see I was wrong.
Have a nice day and thank you Sue.

Good Morning Sue. Awww I love this one Sue. Not only are we using our scraps for the slimline cards ... We are also using the same scraps for the embellishment-cum-background. What a genious woman you are. And I like STEPHANIES input about the darker scraps for the man cards. I love it and I am going to have a try at this one. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Hi Sue, what a really great way to add a pop of colour to an otherwise white card. I am always open to ideas for how to use up those scraps of card that we all keep but are too small to use for an entire card by themselves.

It looks like the card in the end apertures is curved not straight. What a great way to use up the scraps other than making flowers. WakeyL

Change the sentiment and this card could be sent for just about any reason or framed and hung on a wall. With the soft colors, it would be lovely in a nursery. I like having options and you always give them to us. Thank you,
