For You

Hello there my crafty friends!  I selected a piece of Brunswick Green card to use as the background.  I used the Padded Quilt embossing folder to add some texture to the background.  I cut the Art Deco Ornate Tile die out of antique gold card.  I added it to the background with mounting foam.  I cut the middle die in green and added a white backing to it then layered it up.  I cut the thin die from the Art Deco Ornate Labels die set in green and backed it in green.  I cut the Art Deco For You sentiment in gold and glued it to the tag and added it to the middle of the card.  I cut both sizes of the Art Deco Grand Labels in gold.  I cut both of them in half and stacked them together then added them to the sides of the main focal element.  I added small flatback white pearls to the embossed background as accents.  The card was completed with white, antique gold and green mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  9 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. What a striking card today. I have to agree with Ann, it also reminds me of the decoration in a high-end hotel. I really wish I had got that embossing folder but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere anymore. Serves me right for not getting it at the time.

Such an elegant card. Love the rich green colour. Seems I’m not the only one struggling to buy embossing folders.

Love Helen. Xxx

Hi Sue, this card is gorgeous. On my phone earlier the green was a vibrant holly and the gold was bright and shiny. On the laptop however a completely different look, more of an iced spruce colour and a dull gold. I know which one I prefer but both options make a beautiful card.
