For You

Good Sunday morning all!  I started by embossing a piece of antique gold card using the Tidal Sands Embossing Folder.  Next I used Pearl Lustre Gilding Polish and "grouted" the lines from the embossing.  Using the Round Corner Squares, I cut a white frame and added it with mounting foam over the background. mm I cut four of the Art Deco caps from the Art Deco Ornate Labels die set and glued them to the corners of the frame.  Using the Art Deco Ornate Labels, I cut two of the larger label in white and backed them in white.  I crisscrossed them and added them to the middle of the frame.  I cut the label from the Grand Labels in god and backed it in gold.  I attached it horizontally across the other label dies.  I cut the Art Deco For You sentiment in black and glued it to the gold label.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another gorgeous art deco card using the tidal sands embossing folder and dies, by highlighting the embossing folder with the gold really does give it that golden sands feel, great idea.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

Not sure today and I particularly love this range of deco dies. Not sure if it’s the colours, concept or just the photos…

Hi Sue
I like what you done with your card today but I think to me eye it should of been black corners to make it sing to me.
Just my opinion.

Good Morning Sue and all that visit this morning. I love all your art deco cards Sue. But ... I don't really know about today's card. Its not singing to me somehow, and like Doreen, I don't know why. Don't let me put anyone off. This is only my opinion, and no reflection on Sue's fantastic work. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds. Please stay safe and well 🙏

Hi Sue
I love how you’ve used the pearl lustre gilding polish to add that extra detail to the background. I find the corners a little distracting from what is a beautiful art deco card

Love and hugs to everyone

Hi Sue, I'm afraid I have to agree with some others and this card just doesn't sit quite right for me. I love the treatment of the embossing folder but I think it is the corners that are out of place.

Hi Sue. Sorry, I forgot to comment on this one yesterday, but I liked this one so much I thought I would comment on it today. Love your idea of placing the dies in a square formation rather than a cross to support the sentiment.
