Hi bloggers! I started todays card by creating the background which uses Pixie Sparkles. I used the
Teal Marine Pixie Sparkle all over a piece of card and then spritzed it with water. I used the
Slimline Essential Frames and cut the centre out of the pixied background, then added a thin white frame around the aperture. I added mounting foam to raise it then recessed the pixied centre into it. I cut the
Slimline Decorative Rectangle Aperture Trio in white and glued it into the recessed centre. Using the
Here's The Scoop and Treat Yourself Cupcakes die sets, I cut the cupcakes and cone out of tan card. I used powder pink tops for all of the sweet treats, then added cherries on top of a couple of them. I used mounting foam to add them to the top and bottom sections. I used the
Sweet Wishes sentiment cut in white and glued it to the centre section. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 4 3/4" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, a great card and I love the ice cream cone and the cupcakes. Meeting friends in the park this afternoon and there will definitely be cake but I think a bit cold for ice cream :-). I see that I missed yesterday, so sorry, I will go back and comment now.
Hi Sue. Having looked at all the photos I would have sworn that the pixied background had been made using acetate as it was so shiny - but no - it was card that you used. What a great way for us diabetics to enjoy sweet treats!

Love the card sis slim cards are popular with so many people! And those cup cakes look good enough to eat I love birds and I’m lucky enough to have a camara in my shed that I can watch them a little blue tit sas laid 9 eggs after using the fluff from my tumble dryer to lag the nest love always sue stay safe my friends.
