Elephant

Hello there my crafty friends!  Who doesn't love elephants!  I started this card by using the Pearlescent watercolours on a piece of white card.  I used the Golden Sunrise  and the Ray of Sunshine  Next I cut the trees and elephants from the African Animals die set and the African Adventure die set in black.  I glued the trees to the top of the card and elephants to the lower portion of the card.  Next, I stamped the Elephant stamp and cut it out with the matching Elephant die.  I used Distress Markers (weathered wood, rusty hinge and mustard seed)  to colour the elephant, then added it with mounting foam to the centre of the card.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimension are 8"  x  9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. You have bought this majestic creature to life with your amazing talent. We know you wouldn't put your name to this unless it was stunningly perfect, so I imagine when you were presented with the final prototype you were speechless. Can I just say the sample is beyond words but look deeply into the eyes, take time to take a good deep look at this beautiful picture rather than take a quick glimpse and read on - this image speaks volumes xxx

Good Morning Sue and all.
A truly wonderful card on this beautiful sunny morning
As soon as I looked at the computer screen I was taken right back to the Kruger National Park in South Africa where the animals roam free.
I have one of the die sets you have used (and I even know where it is) so I will be coming back to this great elephant later and thank you so much Sue for the big dose of inspiration.
Have a good day.

A friend of mine (who is sadly no longer with us) absolutely adored elephants and would have loved this card. I love the watercolour inks and can sit for ages painting a background with them. There’s something very therapeutic about gliding a brush over card and watching the colour materialise.

A most wonderful card, the true essence of being in the African savannah, watching these majestic animals. I hail from Africa and oh how I do miss this life of seeing these beautiful animals in the wild...I grew up amongst them....Your card brings all this back to me, like I am there, it is so true to detail...I have all these dies, will certainly replicate this in some way as I have many family members who would see it as I do and appreciate it....a stunning card is all I can say Sue, pulling at my heart strings...thank you....luv Ursula xx
