Baked With Love

Good Sunday morning all!  Out comes another older die set for today's card offering.  I started by cutting two bases out of milk card using the Slimline Double Stitched Rectangles.  I matted them together with mounting foam.  Next I cut the Slimline Square Aperture Trio die but I used the three fall away pieces.  I inked them around the edges with Antique linen then added them with mounting foam to the base.  I used the Baked With Love die set and cut the various pieces in either Petrol Blue, Ruby Red, Silver Shine, Milk, black or white card.  I used a silver paint pen to add the chrome parts to the kitchen tools.  I arranged all the kitchen tools in the outer two squares and glued them down.  I cut the Baked With Love sentiment in red and glued it to the centre square.  The card was completed with milk and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 4 3/4"  x  9"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue. I think it's great that these slimline dies have helped the rebirth of the Necessities collections, sometimes we stuck in a rut and forget how many ways the older dies can be used so take a break from them then the slimline dies launch and open up lots and lots of new ways to bring our neccesitie collection alive again, I feel excited at the thought of revisiting my neccesitie dies and collecting a couple of slimline frames when the time is right. Happy Sunday hope it's a fun day and STAY SAFE xxx

Theses slimline dies really are a lovely addition I have used my prize set quite a few times now and am definitely going to add to it Sometimes a new die set can sit on my desk for quite a while before I actually use it!
Utilising them with older dies makes them so worthwhile too

Good Morning Sue. Always on trend Sue. There are so many people just now ( Covid ) reinventing their baking skills. This would be great for them ... and to incorporate them with the new slimline dies is bound to be a winner. Such a lovely fun card. I just might get my own baking utensils out later. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

PLEASE STAY EXTRA SAFE EVERYONE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Yet another great card. Whilst it can be fiddly colouring in such small dies, you have shown that the result is well worth it. WakeyL

Another adorable slimline card. I don't have the baking set but looking at this card makes me wish I did. I have a sister who loves to bake cakes. I gave baking up now that my kids are grown but this is a really cute card for anyone who loves to bake.
Have a great Sunday. My big outing is dropping off the dog for grooming, LOL.

Hi Sue, another lovely example mixing your new dies with some older ones. My knit and natter group love to eat cake but as I am the only one that actually does bake I never bought this set as I wasn't going to send a card to myself lol but I do love it. Yes it can be fiddly to colour in all the small items but I love doing it with the necessities that I have as it is well worth it.
