Thinking About You

Good Sunday morning all!  I decided to play with my alcohol inks and Yupo card for today's offering!  I used Citrus, Purple Twilight and Cobalt alcohol inks and dripped them all over my Yupo card.  I allowed it to dry well, then cut the Slimline Stitched Rectangle Aperture Trio in white.  I added it with mounting foam over the background. I used the Delightful Daisies die set and cut enough flowers for all three apertures.  I glued them into place in the apertures from the front, tucking the stems under the bottom of the apertures.  I stamped the sentiment on to a piece of white vellum.  I trimmed the sentiment down to fit across the across strip and adhered it with two drops of glue on the sides, giving the tag a slight bow in it.  I added a small pearl on to each side.  The card was completed with white on white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 4 1/2"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue and Happy valentine's day ❤
What a lovely sample. I think these new slimline aperture die frames are pointing out to me just how little I'm using my delightful daisies and my Latte dies, in fact all my shadow box dies have been redundant for far too long, so I'm really enjoying the inspiration you are giving with your new frames and including dies from a few years ago, made for each other. Whatever you're doing with your day or early evening to our long distance friends enjoy as much as possible and hope you receive metal rather than flowers or chocolate xxx

Hi Sue and everyone pwho pops in today. Beautiful card i love the contrast of the deep dark inks in the background and the fresh white daisies infront.

ANN TOPP yupo card is like glossy card but it is less porous so the alcohol ink have more time to move than on say a glossy card. It helps to give the inks a more random appearance whereas on glossy card they would still dry quite quickly so more of a circular appearance. It also allows more time to blow the inks and blend them, but it is rather expensive.
I dont have any alcohol ink or yupo but I have watched videos and demos on it and would love some in the future, its on my wish list.
Hugs to all Donna xx
