Double Love Perspective Sunday

Good Sunday morning all!  Today' double day offering features the Love Perspective die used in a couple of different ways.  For the first card, I selected a piece of my Classic Elegance paper pad in the purplish tones.  I cut the large Love die out of the upper portion and below it I cut the individual plaque that says "you." leaving the negative cut into the paper.  I cut the Love die a second time out of black card and used the decorative paper version on top of it slightly offset to create a shadow.  I added mounting foam to raise it and reinserted it back into the cut out area, lining the pattern back up.  I added a piece of black card behind the "you" cut out area.  I created a multi-layer frame using the  Scalloped Lattice Frame Set B using both coconut white and black card.  I mounted the frame over decorative background and made some Exquisite Poppies out of the decorative paper and black card.  I seated them in the corner on a white satin ribbon bow and accented them with heart sprays cut out of white card.  The final mat layers were out of white, wisteria and black to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two uses the same die to create a shaker card.  I cut the Love die out of coconut white card.  I added mounting foam on the back to raise it and create an area to fill for my shaker.  I used red frilly edged ribbon and wrapped it around the lower portion of the card and added a double bow to the side.  I used the fallaway hearts from the Heart spray die to create the filling for my shaker by cutting it repeatedly out of red glitter card.  I added a bit of Iced Flake as well.  I sealed the back shaker area with a piece of acetate and attached a simple double white backing piece behind the entire front.  I used the "You" plaque to make a small tag and backed it with a piece of red card.  I seated it under the edge of the crystal sparkler in the centre of the bow.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  6 1/2" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Tina T!!!
Karin's Art Scrap!!!
Gloria Robey!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Sunday Smiles to you Sue. Thank you for a lovely day yesterday so many lovely and helpful demo's, sure was a Super Sue Saturday and look forward to next weekend, although I wished you'd demo'd your New Additions before another company had the chance to launch, your collection is so much sweeter though.
Hmmm, both of these samples are beautiful, I'm thinking the 2nd is more Valentinish just because of the pop of red, the ribbon and little red hearts in the shaker heart, the first could be given to a partner for an anniversary maybe ? So I can't choose a favourite. I do love how your papers either give some lift to a card or help give them that delicate touch for a female card, I've still not used my pack lol still as it was since the day I bought it 😊 I know you say these things are bought to us to use, but there is just something about using your pretty papers for market and not knowing if the recipient of the card is as sentimental as we are and your paper ends up in Lancashire paper recycling depot, it would be a criminal act lol. So my pad is still perfect.
That's me done, oops.... congratulations to all three comment winners, enjoy your gift.
Now I'm done, sending hugs to you Sue for a lovely day xxx

Morning, Sue, two very nice cards today - don't have any of the word dies (yet!) No favourite, but always love your poppies as they look so different each time you use them. My white flower with curved under leaves looked so oriental - cue for the next make.
Falling Snow folder arrived yesterday, so play time ahead.
Couldn't see much of your shows yesterday, but will use catch up as hate to miss anything!
Happy Sunday all.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I so enjoy double days and these two samples are so different but both stunning the effect on the first one with the black card shadowed and offset gives a really stunning affect, I really like that as well as your wonderful papers. The second makes a gorgeous shaker card, brilliant idea, I will have to try that one. I spent yesterday watching your shows on Hochanda, wow you really are the queen of crafting, so many tips, hints and techniques, I always learn so much from you and feel proud to call you a friend. In between the shows I made your card from yesterday's video, I didn't have the striplet you used so I used one of the others and I am really pleased with the way it has turned out, just waiting for my new gold sparkle pearl PVA to come and that will be another one added to my collection.

Congratulations to Tina T, Karin's Art Scrap and Gloria Robey, enjoy your prizes.

Pam have a safe journey home today.

Helen what are you like, not only have you hurt you arm/shoulder stripping but you then go and fall over a side table and injure your other side, no I am not laughing it must have been very painful, I do hope it feels better this morning but I am sure you are still very sore, I would try not to do too much today.

Yvonne - AKA Princess Pixie, Sue's ODS was a brilliant offer, I bet when it comes in the post you will be locked away in your craft palace enjoying yourself - just like our Queen when she has a summer break up in Scotland. Laine I so enjoy reading of the banter between you two, it is so funny and makes my day, you are both superstars in my eyes.

Tressa - wow five days of concentrated parchment crafting at your local residential centre, I bet that will be fun, enjoy

P in Wales - poor pippin missing his furbabies, I hope they are doing OK.

Elaine H - great sum raised for Macmillan, well done to you all

Lynda's crafts - no ill effects so far from the flu jab, hope yours goes ok next week.

Looking forward to more Hochanda watching today, take care everyone.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue and everyone

Two more great cards. Love them both, but I think the gorgeous paper pad colours just pip it to the post for me. Still have some shows to catch up on, but what I did see were brilliant as usual.

Tracy, Diane, Pam and June, thank you for the well wishes. Still sore today, but could have been a lot worse. My own fault for rushing around. June, I didn't hurt my shoulder stripping. I have some muscle tears and an inpingement and am awaiting a little op to fix it.

Have been very careless lately. This last week I have burnt my hand on the oven shelf ( then painfully pulled off the skin off it when drying my hands) managed to catch the knuckle of my thumb in my guillotine, and last night stuck the point of one of Sues poinsettia dies down my fingernail! Clumsy oaf! As my Dad would have said.

Well hubby is emulsioning the ceilings and parts of the wall on the stairs I could not reach, so it's back to banister stripping for me. Wish me luck for an uneventful day accident wise.

Marge, hope you get rid of your migraine and feel better soon.

Safe journey back Pam.

Congratulations to all today's winners.

Love Helen xxx

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
I like the first card Sue with its cutout lining up again with where it came out off but i much prefer the second, clean and simple card as that is what love should be, clean and simple. Well i can live in dream world with that thought but if anyone actually lives this wonderful life please tell me. The second card would make a beautiful wedding card, valentines card or if i had the die, a beautiful first anniversary card for my special neice's 1st wedding anniversary while it is still just her and her husband before their baby is due next month. Thank you Sue for the wonderful inspiration that you give us each day because whether it is our taste or not we can always find some aspect of it that we can use or that we hadn't considered before, so i know that i really appreciate the time and inspiration that you put at our fingertips each day flower, so i will wish you a lovely day and see you tomorrow.
To the lucky ladies of this weeks prizes well done and i hope that you enjoy using them when you get them home.
Sending hugs to all my lovely Wilsonettes friends that are struggling or needing just someone to give that hug when they need it most, i hope that today will be a better day for you,

Hi Sue

Card 1 is stunning as you have used your gorgeous papers and card 2 is fabulous because - well I love a shaker card. Thanks Sue for,as ever, amazing ideas that make our life so much easier x
Congratulations to today's winners and congratulations to Judy for yesterday x
Well my day started well. The sun was out so that was the green light for washing to hang on the line, lovely. I decided that I was feeling so excited after Sue's shows yesterday that I was going to have a bit of a crafty session. So a die cutting session commenced cutting out loads of Christmas bits and pieces. All was going well then disaster struck.
I got distracted by a text and all of a sudden there was an awful noise coming from my e bosser. I had put the plates in all wrong!! It was the right plates for the correct sandwich but I managed to put all the plates through the machine and my mini poinsettia Striplet came into contact with the rollers and consequently wound its way round the roller. The noise was unbelievable.
I didn't even think about the fact that I had probably completely annihilated my e bosser. I was more upset that I had completely ruined my Striplet beyond recognition.
OK I will admit it - I burst into tears!! I know pathetic! After a coffee and a sulk I went back to the disaster area to examine the evidence and work out my next course of action.
Peering into the slot of my e bosser all I could see was bits of broken metal poking out from the top roller. It was true. My mini poinsettia Striplet had suffered a very painful and noisy demise!
Won't bore you with all the gory details of the delicate operation of trying to save my faithful embossing companion! I am pleased to tell you that I did actually manage to get all the metal 'bits' out and my e bosser seems fine (fingers crossed). I cut my finger quite badly because the bits of completely mangled die were so sharp. It has only just stopped bleeding (after 2 hours).
So apart from that it's been a good day. Lol. On the bright side I did manage to get a lot of die cutting done but unfortunately no mini poinsettia Striplet will be adorning my cards and I am gutted x
Pam - presume you are home now. I know you have had a lovely holiday but if you are anything like me you will enjoy being back in your own bed x
Helen - ouch. You sound like a liability! I think your participation in chores should be of a supervisory capacity. I think that would be safer. Lol. Seriously though - take it easy x
Tina - lovely to hear that you week has been special. I hope the hospital visit goes well x
June - weren't the shows fab? So excited for the arrival of my ODS. Need something to console me after today's mishap x
Laine - hope you have finished throwing your toys out of the pram! No good throwing a tantrum and behaving like a petulant child. I can't help being popular! Are you enjoying your fix of sequins, lycra and firm bottoms? I am. Speak soon x
OK lovely people I am exhausted after my emotional day so bath and bed for me x
Sending lots of love to everyone specially Tracy, Wheely, Fluffy, Lorraine, Lynda, Myra, Maureen, Maria, Deb C, Norah, Tina (and Mick), P, Elaine (and Andrew), Lesley S, Jane F and all of my bestest blog buddies x

Hi Sue. WOW !!! I really love these two beautiful cards. Your ""love" die set is wonderful. It is on my huge long wish list. I do have your "Happy" set and your "Smile" set which I absolutely love. They are so versatile and such fun to play with !!! I love the first card with your beautiful papers on and those wonderful heart spray dies. Not forgetting to mention your gorgeous poppy dies !!! ( They are my favourite "go to" flowers at the moment ) Sue but then I do love your second card with the shaker "love" and the beautiful little hearts in it. I think this one looks more clean and simple but really beautiful !!! If I had to choose a favourite I think it would be the second card, the shaker one. Perfect for Valentine's Day. Your shows were amazing yesterday. I saw them all and recorded them all to so that I can watch them again !!! I have just finished my sisters Birthday card and I now have to start a Birthday card for my Steve to. After that I am free to make some Christmas cards. Thank you for sharing two beautiful cards today. Sending you lots of love Sue from Tres x x x

Congratulations to all of today's lucky comment game winners especially my lovely crafty friend Gloria Robey love from Tres x x x

Sending lots of love to everyone from Tres x x x

Well, not long finished the first evening p's parching on my course. Officially we finish at nine but, in reality, we rarely finish before midnight although tonight was early for us. I guess age is catching up on us and we no longer have the staying power. At my first residential we were all still up at gone one in the morning!

This basically explains why the comment is so late in appearing!!!

I usually find it difficult to choose between cards when you offer two for us because they are, invariably, both excellent. However, in this case, I think the blue one is really striking. I may not have the dies but I do have the pad so will have to see if I can produce something similar because I like it so much.

Hi Sue
I have been away for the weekend and have just finished catching up with the Blog. Tomorrow I can hopefully catch up with your shows.
We had a gorgeous walk along the beach at Seaford today in glorious sunshine and very little wind. It really was great to feel the sun and could hardly believe we are now in October.
I love both your cards today, the first one using your fabulous papers and the second Shaker card with the lovely touches of red.
I was sorry to hear of Princess P's disaster with her striplet and am keeping my fingers crossed the machine will be ok. Thanks too for remembering me from our close encounter with Sue at AP!
Hope to get some more Christmas Cards made this week.
Sending my good wishes to everyone.

Hello Sue,
I'm late again! Two really lovely cards today . The first one is my favourite though! I love the way you have used your papers! I don't have the Love Die but have the Happy one! Thank you once again for the inspiration! I've still got Shows to watch on Catch up!
Princess Pixie - what a tale of woe! Really sorry about your Poinsettia Striplet but it could have been much worse! I'm so pleased your machine is still working! Sorry too about your finger! I didn't realise that having Laine to visit had had such a bad effect on your nerves! : ) !
Hope you are safely home Pam!
Love to all friends on the blog!

Hi Sue. I know i am late again but not had a great day, but tablets taken, had some sleep and now wide awake lol. Your two cards are beauties same die but totally different. The first is gorgeous with your beautiful papers and your stunning poppies and the second for its clean and simple lines but most of all for your beautiful ribbon and bow. Would make a fantastic valentines card. Thanks for all your great shows on Saterday with all your beautiful sample cards, and with all your hints, tips and techniques. Looking forward to next weeks shows to see what you can tempt us crafters with lol. Hope you have had a nice and relaxing Sunday after all your hard work getting your show ready then doing all your demos. Congratulations to all the lucky comment winners.
Best Wishes.

Missed these on post, both absolutely gorgeous but think the purple one edges it for me with its contemporary feel.

Congrats the winners
