Now to share a special email with you, just scroll down.
I don't often do this but I just had to share (with their permission of course) the email and pictures below that I received on Saturday. It was just so sweet and WOW was I impressed with Jennie's skills! I think you will be suitably impressed as well!!
Hi Sue, Hope you are well and enjoy this little story, with the attached photos.
>
> My granddaughter Jennie, who is nearly four, is very interested in 'making',
> as she calls it, and we have been stamping, gluing and making cards
> together since she was about two and a half. A couple of months ago I
> happened to be watching one of your videos whilst at her house (she lives in
> Leeds and we are in Liverpool) and she climbed up to watch it with me. Since
> then she has asked several times to 'watch Sue make a card on the iPad'.
> She watches your videos with great interest and asks lots of questions about
> what you're doing. She said she would like to make a card like one of
> yours so the next time we went over I prepped the pieces for the card in
> your 'bordered aperture' video and she helped me to construct it following
> the video as we went along.
>
> This week she has been to stay with us for a couple of days and I had
> promised her that we could make a card together using my grand calibur and
> following one of your videos. We chose the 'sparkle your embossing' video
> from YouTube and we started from scratch. Jennie helped to measure and then
> cut the card pieces for the card base, sticking them together with tape and
> mounting foam herself. She then carefully taped the dies to the card, made
> up the sandwiches, and insisted in winding my grand calibur all by herself.
> She then used the tool'n'one to remove the bits as she's seen you do. I
> think the bit she liked best was spreading the diamond sprinkles onto the
> sticky sheet and then embossing it. Finally, I helped her to assemble the
> card and we added some flowers from my stash that I had made some time ago.
> I think you'll agree that the finished card is really lovely and, according
> to Jennie, is for her little sister Becca's first birthday at the end of the
> month.
>
> Jennie sat with me for over two hours making the card, which is pretty
> amazing for one so young, I think. This morning she again asked to watch
> one of your videos. I went immediately to your blog and we were both
> delighted to find that 'our card' was today's video. We also scrolled down
> to look at the 'gilded high-low technique' and I have promised that when we
> go to Leeds in a couple of weeks time I'll take the necessary equipment for
> her to be able to make it. (I think I'll have to buy another grand calibur
> to leave in her house!!)
>
> Anyway, you have made a small child and her grandma very happy. As ever,
> thank you for sharing your wonderful skills and making card-making so

Hi Sue & Wilsonettes
Firstly Sue I would like to say thank you for sharing such an inspiring story with us, I’m not surprised that you were keen to include this in today’s blog...Grandparents are naturally proud of their grandchildren but I imagine this is more so with regards to Diane’s granddaughter Jennie...
You must be so proud of her Diane especially when she shares your love of crafting...may I say a very beautiful girl with a very beautiful card & as for turning the GC handle herself she seems very determined to show that she can succeed & so obviously enjoyed making this card... a true budding card maker in the making...you may have some competition there Sue as she is growing up...LOL...it just goes to show Sue how the talents of young Jennie has shown what a testament you are to those of us who are truly inspired by YOUR exceptional talents...I sincerely hope that you are proud of the gift that you have brought forth from young Jennie & indeed for the rest of us. Well done Jennie, I’m truly impressed & there is no mistaking that you should be so proud of your wonderful achievement x x x
Now for today’s card Sue I have the Beaded Fanfare E folder & it really is a beautiful design, naturally, as with all your designs...Love the way that you have threaded the ribbon through the St Kitts cutting die...as luck would have it I have just recently purchased this ribbon & it is simply gorgeous & so lovely to work with. Overall a beautiful, striking card Sue...thanks you for your inspiration & for sharing this beautiful card with us today.
Lynda (craft’s)...please give Annie & Bambi the biggest Kisses & (((((HUGS))))) from us...my heart really goes out to you my dear friend...loving Annie as you do & always have done will be a great comfort to her...I’m like you I love my animals all their lives but when it comes to a situation where they are poorly, such a s sweet Annie, then we feel we have to cram in 20/30 years of kisses & cuddles....love ‘ n’ hugs to you dear friend x x x x x
Well I have finally completed the front garden...took advantage...LOL...of the weather ladies, the weather...lol...& then had to do a lot of pruning etc in the rear garden it was looking neglected due to the front...rest assured though that I did go slowly..1 hour garden...15 min rest for bathroom & playtime with girls (more Hannah)...then repeat etc.
Anyways I must go my friends as need feeding & I need to finish 2nd half of the back garden where a load of Russian vine has crept through & is in the process of strangling my plants...
Sue hope you are having a wonderful time with your mom & family...to you, my friends & to all lovely Wilsonettes I send you (((((HUGS))))) if needed & smiles if you don’t...take care Love Beth B x x x

Hi Sue
What a lovely e-mail and such a beautiful card made by Jennie. I craft with my granddaughter too. Building happy memories for the future.

Hi Sue.
What a beautiful card to start our week, this would certainly be the birthday card to take centre stage on anyone's birthday and one to be kept on display for many days after the occassion.
Many a time you have read comments both on your wonderful blog, and via email about how inspirational you are. How you brighten people's day (on good and bad day's) this email you received from Dianne is the proof that you bring so much happiness into people's lives.
It's so lovely to read that a child so young has such interest and concentration it takes to make a card, and the closeness they have is just beautiful to read, so many children of Jennies age would be dressing dollies, asking grandma to read or make 'invisable' tea for her teddies, and im sure at time's Dianne would have done all the above, but to ask to 'make' with grandma at that age is a first, and grandma may have helped Jennie put this remarkable card together, but I find it amazing that this little beauty made her own little 'make' by watching your You Tube video's. Can you imagin her skill's in another few year's if the interest stay's with her... Jennie - probably not in my lifetime but I see an opening for you as the youngest ever DT member for Creative Expressions.
Thank you for the double helping of sunshine this morning Sue, both from yourself, and for sharing Dianne's email (bet you had a lump in your throat) lol. So each time you read you are such an ispiration, think back to Dianne's email, smile, and say " yes I am "
Sending hugs.

Two stunning cards this morning Sue, cant go wrong with black and white and elegant as a theme. Just love the pink and white card that Jennie has made with her grandma looks like a budding wilsonette in the making. Will look out for her blog in the future.... Well done Jennie. Thanks for sharing Sue, have a great day. Hugs xx
Morning Sue,

Lovely story of Jennie creating with her grandmother, used to love it when my granddaughter were younger and we had crafting sessions, but other things have taken over now they are older.

Hi sue,
beautiful card today.
Love the design, and colour choice.
I am not surprised you showed that email, as you must be soooooooooooo! proud to have the attention of Jennies, as usually at that age they want their own programs on.
My what a budding little crafty person she is.
Her Grandmother must be soooooooo! proud of her.
Tank you for sharing this with us, and thank you also to Diane, and Jennie allowing you to share this too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
A gorgeous card today.
Thank you Sue for putting the photos and emailmat the end of your blog and thank you Diane and Jennie for allowing their story to be shared. An amazing young crafter, maybe grand caliburs and your videos should be on the school curriculum!
Wow, little Jennie really has a knack for following along and making that card. Who would imagine someone so young, would sit long enough to complete it. Oh her grandma has every right to be so proud of her. I'm glad they shared their story with you, and with us. How inspiring. Grandma better come up with a bigger craft area! i Have to admit, I watch the videos often.
So thank you for inspiring not only the adults but introducing your crafting to kids also. I think it is awesome!
Morning Sue. Your card today is lovely and would serve so many purposes. I had a lump in my throat when I read the e mail. What a talented little girl! and what happy memories for her grandma. My granddaughter used to love to craft with me, but only if she could use 'real' things. She would never be fobbed off with children's kits. Many a sheet of my best card was used, but at the end of the day it is only a piece of card, and she was copying Grandma. Sadly, as others have said, different things have taken her interest but I know she has the skills, so one day maybe she will come back to it. You are inspiring a whole new generation.
Love Rosemarie xx
Good morning Sue, A beautiful card and love the cream and white. Sweet little crafting girl, a delight to see her proud smile! Take care Jane B.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful email and thank you Diane for allowing Sue to share it It made me well up with happiness to see a youngster craft and the smile of achievement it brought to her face
By the way Sue, your card is pretty amazing too!
Hi Sue,
Absolutely wonderful, Jennie such a talent and the greatest gift is the cherished time spent with each other.
Your inspiration and videos are priceless for all of us!
So thank you and to Diane and Jennie for sharing.

Good morning Sue, your card is stunning, but I can't think of many that aren't. As for that gorgeous young crafter, it's what is needed? Hello sue an everyone. I love today's card I really love the way you have done the ribbon an bow looks so pretty.i think the card the littl girl made with her nanny is sp pretty as well. to everyone who asked yesterday I am 12 I have been making cards an other things like Jewllery with my nan since I was a really little girl like jennie an I love it. My nan always jokes that if she ever wins the lottery she will buy me a craft shop for when I leave school I know she is joking but I would love it if it did ever happen. I have 3 sisters now macie is only a little baby she came in January but the other 2 Lilly an grace are 6 an 9 an the only time they ever want nan to help them do a card is when it's mum or dads birthday they are not like me who want to make them all the time it don't have to be anyone's birthday. An I love collecting craft stuff nan calls it her stash and I have a load of stuff that I buy with my own money. I once made a pearl necklace an earrings for sue I think I was about 8 an I didn't no sue don't like earrings but she said she liked her necklace. They were not real pearls they were only glass ones but they are sues birth stones with moonstone as well an if granddad had not got unwell nan was going to let me make her a new set this year with real pearls not earrings a necklace an bracelet. She said we will still do it because we already got the pearls.i got it wrong yesterday with the days it's day 14 today of granddaddy chemo an it's 21 days to each round an on day 22 he as to go back in an have the chemo put in for 9 hours again like the first day an then do the 21 days again like now where it's just for 1 hour a day an this is for 6 months an if it's worked they will try to do an operation to cut out the cancer an try to make him a new belly. Sorry I write so much today I just wanted to make sure I got it right nan said I not allowed to do to much and I promised I won't I just wanted to tell you about the Jewllery I made sue I won't right very much anymore. Thank you everyone Molly oxoxox
What a sweet story. My 11 year old Granddaughter also loves to make cards. She saw someone make a finger bow on you tube and proceeded to tie about 30 bows for me.
I really like todays card and especially like that you used black and white.
It's been raining for days in Florida so I think I'll get back to my Christmas cards......
Have a great day!

Good morning Sue,
Love the elegance of your card, that bow is just scrummy, and the milk and black combination looks gorgeous.
Thank you so much for sharing your heartwarming e-mail with us all.
It is so wonderful to see that you are an inspiration to the next generation and it just shows how clear and wonderfully explained your videos are when even such little ones can follow them.
Jennie, you are a very clever girl, the card you made is lovely and it will make your sister very happy, I have a grandson called Oliver and he likes to make cards with me too. He is 4 but his cards are not as good as yours, don't tell him though.
Diane, you must be so proud of your beautiful granddaughter. Thank you so much for letting Sue share Jennie's card with us.
Molly I bet Sue was thrilled with the jewellery you sent her, you are very talented making jewellery and cards, well done. Hope your Grandaddy is not feeling too poorly. Bet your Nan is very proud of you.
Love and hugs to all but today especially for our Mini Wilsonettes, Molly and Jennie.

Lovely to see the younger generation taking an interest.
Having a crafty day myself.

Hi Sue. After a hectic few days I have loved seeing what you have shared with us. The Christmas double day on Friday has to be my favourite, the first card in particular is gorgeous, I will be making my own version for sure : )
Todays card is a real beauty, I love the EF, another one to add to my list : )
Thank you so much for sharing Diane's email. What a wonderful little girl Jennie is. If she is his good at 4 years old what is she going to be like in another 10 years? A design team member, at least I'm sure. Diane you must be very proud of Jennie. Keep it up : )
My grandaughters, 4 and 6, love to make cards and have done since they were big enough to craft. They love looking at Sue's cards and using my GC to cut flowers in particular. Start them young is my motto : )
Congratulations to all of the last weeks winners. Enjoy your goodies : )
I hope your Mom is well sue and you are enjoying your time with her and the rest of the family.
Sending my daily hugs to everyone. Take care xx
Beautiful card today. I think that is my favourite embossing folder. Your bow is fabulous. Will try to make this beauty. Such a lovely story. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Will have to get my grandchildren interested in card making. Have a wonderful day.
Hi Sue
Love today's card, especially the EF. It's on my wish list. Wish my embossing looked as deep as yours though.

Pretty card today and what a delightful email you shared with us all :)
Beautiful card Sue!! Such a happy mail to read!! The card that they have made is also very beautiful!!
Hi Sue, a lovely card, and a lovely email, I think its one of the pleasures of life being able to share these things with ones grandchildren. My grandchildren love crafting and baking with me and so far have managed not to get the glitter and flour mixed up.
Wendyxx
Good afternoon Sue and our big and little Wilsonettes,
What a heartwarming post today, it brought a tear to my glass eye:-), and almost overshadowed your wondrous card Sue.
I love the design of today's little beauty, particularly the novel way that you have incorporated the ribbon, it's reminiscent of the Art Deco style, enhanced by the fantail embossing folder...lush!
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside after the story of our little prodigy Jennie-careful Sue, she'll be after a job with CE before she reaches double figures at this rate. I am in awe at the standard she had attained and the level of concentration required to watch your demos and produce a replica...Amazing!
Then we have little Molly who is faithfully following your blog, Melody must be so proud of her eloquent little superstar.I was supremely touched by your story Molly, I too have done jewellery making and it can be extremely fiddly and difficult to achieve a convincing result so I applaud your efforts. I am sure Sue would be over the moon to receive another set, pearls are so beautiful, as are you sweetie. You should be so proud of yourself and Thankyou for your explanation, it wasn't too long and it is lovely to know a little bit more about youxxxx
I managed to spend yesterday Afternon restling with my GC and the Canadian background, it is such a beautiful die and worth the effort.
Off out to the doctors again, god I should have a loyalty card! And a sleeping bag! Never mind , plenty of time to finish off my efforts from yesterday later on.
Wishing good health to Yvonne, Beth, and any other Wilsonette lovelies needing a healing hugxxx
Love and crafty hugs,
Laine1972xxxx
BEautiful!!
Hello Sue,
Beautiful card design. Black & white is one of my favorite color combos. Always look forward to your posts & creative ideas!
I love using your dies! They are so versatile & mix together beautifully. One of our local craft stores here in AZ is beginning to carry some of your dies, so that is a plus for me.
Loved hearing the story today about the budding card maker. What fun to have grandchildren who want to share in this fun craft!
Sue, this has got to be one of the most beautiful cards I have ever seen. It has all the goodies I love. I think little Jennie did an awesome job and I am sure gramma is very proud.
Your card is a beauty!!!
I love the email about Jennie! She reminds me of my granddaughter who also loves to be in the craft room. She has picked up on me calling my Craft Room Heaven, when she wants to create she asks to go to Heaven! I had to explain to her mother why Jenna kept asking to go to Heaven because she was getting upset thinking our little Princess had a death wish. Mom was glad when I let her in on where OUR Heaven is.
Thanks for sharing the card and the lovely email with us!!! Jennie sounds like a very special little girl!
Stunning black and white card today, just lovely! Thanks for sharing Diane's and Jennie's story. This story warmed my heart.
Hi Sue, a beautiful card and the Beaded Fanfare embossing folder is totally gorgeous and is really shown off to its best advantage here.
Thank you for sharing Diane's e-mail about her very clever granddaughter Jennie. It is heart-warming to hear about such young people being interested in crafting and being able to execute your instructions to create their own masterpieces. We always tell you the videos are great and there is the proof if you needed it :)
Frances
Hi Sue - what an absolutely elegant card today and I haven't got this embossing folder but one I must now have! Thank you for sharing the email - what a talented little girl Jennie is and how proud Diane must be - watch out Sue you might have some competition soon!! Best wishes
YvonneMayxx
Lovely elegant card today Sue.
Beautiful email about Jennie. Think you have competition Sue!! However we all know that Jennie was inspired by a lovely lady who designs such beautiful dies for us all to use & lets us all in on her tips & ideas. I hope you continue to inspire Jennie & others of her generation for many years to come & of course we all rely on you - so keep up the good work! Thank you Sue.
Hi Sue and Wilsonettes
wow, what a beauty today, this card is stunning, love the EF and threaded ribbon, this black and cream combo is so classy.
Diane, thank you for allowing Sue to share your e-mail with us, it reminded me of the time I spent with my Nana when I was young and they were treasured times, you're not just making cards but memories too and your Jennie will be able to look back on these special times when she's older, what a little star she is and the card she made with you is just lovely, amazing for her age. Sue you are such an inspiration and your talent has definitely sparked something in this beautiful little girl, perhaps another Sue Wilson in the making!
Melody I had no idea Molly is your granddaughter, she is a real credit to you and I hope a source of joy for you and your husband in these difficult times, God bless you both and your lovely family.
Molly, you and your sisters all have beautiful names, you are very talented to be making cards and jewellery, and Christmas trees phew! x x
Beth, don't work too hard in that garden of yours or you'll be too knackered to enjoy your holiday. Am I allowed to say that on here lol?
Yvonne, missing you on the blog, hope you're feeling better real soon.
Got to dash, pile of ironing to do, yeuch!
Love and blessings all - Deb C xx
A beautiful card, Sue and how wonderful to see a brilliant young crafter making your cards at such a tender age...Jennie certainly puts me to shame lol. Thanks for sharing the email and pictures with us, there's a star in the making. x
Stunning Card Sue!
I love everything about it and I love the colour combo.
It's always lovely to hear about one of the young Crafter's out there. I craft with my 5 year old niece occasionally (when they visit from the Netherlands) and she loves all the die cut outs.
Happy Crafting!!! :) X X
Your card is so sumptuous Sue, absolutely stunning. What a lovely story about young Jennie, her grandma must be so proud of her. Pat x
What a very sophisticated card, Sue.
When my young ones are visiting my craft room becomes a hub of giggles and oooooosss and yes even a little of "I want to use that first" discussions. It is always wonderful to watch the imagination go to work with the little ones. Mine are so little so they are becoming more sophisticated in their card making ideas, sometimes they are a little hard to keep up with but they do challenge you to try something new!!
Hello Sue, and all the ladies.
Well, Sue, this is a thank you e-mail!! Thank you for showing your stunning card, it's beautiful.
Thank you for showing Diane's e-mail and Jennie's card, she's made an amazing job and it's only through my mam and aunt's encouragement and help that I starting crafting over 65 years ago so Jennie will have a lifetime of enjoyment ahead of her. Jennie, your card is gorgeous, you have made a wonderful card.
Thank you to Molly for your message and update on your granddaddy's treatment. I hope he feels better soon. Your family must be very proud of you, and I bet Sue loved her jewellery. I've never managed to make any jewellery, so you should feel extra special.
Have a good break Sue.

A beautiful stunning and very elegant card today, I love this one.
And what a beautiful email, obviously a very talented crafter and if jennie can make cards
Like that at her young age you can imagine what stunning cards she will be making in the future.
Thank you so much for sharing this Sue.
Today's card is so lovely and the story about Jennie and her grandma is really touching - what a talent for one so young! Susan x
Hellooooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! Oh wow! wow! wow! This is so so elegant Sue. Love it and now I'm on a mission to get the beaded fanfare Ef....stunning! xx Well, what a wonderful and heart warming email and photo of such a lovely little girl, Jennie. As has been said Sue, I can imagine how this must have brought a lump to your throat, as it did here just reading it. What a wonderful little girl (I can't believe she is nearly four!) and who's done a Sue Wilson masterpiece! That's an amazing achievement for one so young. "Thank you Sue" (and Debbie!) for sharing this wonderful email and photograph of Jennie with her beautiful card. Debbie, you must be the proudest nanna! I loved to read that you have let her turn the GC, giving Jennie full throttle! Jennie, you are an amazing little girl. You should be sooooo proud of what you have done and I'm sure we shall be hearing a lot more of you in the near future. "Hear hear!" I'm sure, with our wonderful Sue and your nanna Debbie you will reach the top...and that won't be long! xx Also, I hope that, our Sue will believe us when we tell what an inspiration she is to us all xx I can honestly say that I did flat and whatever cards, 9 years ago. I'd seen the Create and craft show and I bought my first set of Fairy cards and stickers. A few years later I was taken poorly and for the first time I saw this amazing lady on the Create and Craft show. From then on, to keep my spirits up, my husband (bless him) bought me my first set of dies and machine. Although I couldn't do too much it helped me to cope. I still have on going problems but I still "get lost" in creating Sue style cards. I've been lucky enough to have a few cards published in a craft magazine....unexpected, but chuffed! My mum also takes her birthday cards to the bingo....and that's praise indeed! Lol! I can honestly say "thank you Sue" for inspiring us. Jennie you are a gorgeous, amazing and talented little girl and I'm sure we will hear more of you in the future xx What has also been lovely, is reading about other nanna's who are inspiring their grandchildren too. What an amazing and talented generation we have coming ahead of us! Molly, don't you worry about writing too much. It's lovely to hear from you. "Thank you" for the up date on your granddad. Sending you all love and hugs xx How amazing too that you have made Sue earrings and a necklace. Wow! How wonderful are you? You keep going too Molly. We need all our little inspirations like you two out there xx Sending love and hugs to you Sue, your mom and your family xx Hope you are having a wonderful time! xx Sending love and hugs to all our Wilsonettes who are in need too xx take everyone xx Love Karen xx
A beautiful card this day Sue, and the story abaut the young crafter war so touching, love Thove
Hi Sue, you had better watch out I think Jennie is looking to take your job! With cards like that at 4 years old I can't wait to see what she is making at 14 never mind 24.
Jennie, you are a very clever girl to be able to make a card so beautiful. You have a good teacher in your Grandma and with Sue to teach you step by step you will be making lots more cards.
Sue, your card is stunning - I love it and now have that embossing folder on my 'want/need/musthaveasap list
Hi Sue,
another beautiful creation today although I do believe you have some competition! Thank you for sharing Diane's emailand well done to Jennie - what a fabulous card, you must be so proud.
Melody you must be another grandma who is proud of her granddaughter. Molly it is always lovely to read your posts and kind of you to keep us up to date with how your grandpa is doing. Give him our love and let him know we are thinking of him (& of course you and grandma).
Love and hugs to all, Alison xx
Stunning card Sue. Just love it. Thank you also for sharing Jennie's card with us and to Mollie for sending the comment. As others have said you are an inspiration to the next crafting generation. My granddaughter also loves making cards and other crafty things and always watches your videos and can name a lot of the dies.. She loves to come to the craft group I belong to and her colouring is as good as the adults. It's good that these skills are being carried on.

Well what a lovely blog this morning. Bonus two cards and a wonderful story about lovely grandchildren joining in the crafting!
I get my grandchildren making whenever they come - they love to play on Serif - whizz kids with computers! They now make all their own cards to send ( saves me a job!) and love the glittery bits!
How lovely to read that one so young is so interested in crafting. It's a pleasure to see craft return with such avengance.
