Thanks

Hello bloggers!  How is this for a cheerful card on a Monday morning!  It may be a bit hard for me to describe this one as it is done on three different levels, but I will try my best.  I started by cutting an oval aperture in my coconut white background.  I then cut the Austrian Collection Innsbruck die out of coconut white card using both the outside and inside decorative cutting inserts with the oval outer cutting edge.  I cut another smaller oval aperture in this piece as well.  I matted this with a periwinkle blue version cut without the decorative inserts.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the small oval die from the set.  I made two other slightly larger mats out of white and periwinkle blue card.  I cut an oval opening in the first one so that I was able to recess my sentiment into it.  I stacked all the mats by adding mounting foam so they stair stepped upwards, but still allowed me to recess my decorative die cuts downward into them.  I cut several different sizes of the Delicate Daisies (Open petal) and created an assortment of sizes of flowers that I added to opposite sides of the aperture.  I used 8mm white flatback pearls for the centres.  I seated the larger flowers with a Bakers Twine tied bow.  Using the side view butterfly from the Magical Butterfly set, I cut two of them and glued them together for a three dimensional look to it and added it to the upper corner of the aperture and added 3mm pearls for the body.  I completed the card with a simple double white mat. There is just something about the periwinkle blue and the coconut white card together that just sings to me.   I loved the way it came out, even if it was a bit of work!  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 8 3/4" in size.

Hi Sue, yippee internet back up and running. Beautiful card love the periwinkle colour, all those layers really make it stand out. The lacy insert is just lush( oldest daughters go to word) lol lynne m x x x

Pesky critters are on top form at the moment , hubby cut the back garden yesterday as they do not like longish grass when they have to spend a penny ( more like 50p nowadays). Just when everything was going smoothly and I thought me time for awhile reading hubby spotted a tiny frog on the lawn. Dippy b shouts out to me so of course poochies go to investigate. OMG, the frog jumped , Cully jumped, the frog jumped again ( Cullys nose must have been on it) Cully jumped back like a scalded cat. Tilly not to be outdone pounced on Cully. The theatrics continued until hubby and I could stop laughing enough to grab the frog and put it in a little pond at the back of the garden. My two certainly like wildlife. I have told Tilly sternly not to play with great hairy spiders as they scare the living daylights out of me ( parents to blame for fear) Cully has been informed that it is extremely unladylike to bring in slugs and play with them on the lounge carpet. Trips to the forest Saturday and Sunday mornings 5:45am were entertaining as usual as Cully tried her hardest to find rabbits in every bush but to no avail at least she has twigged that if she disappears for too long mum and dad tend to get tetchy. Steam cleaned kitchen floor this morning as poochies are so mucky but what a waste of time cuz there are now paw prints the length of it as the little b's chased each other around the garden and then indoors. Never a dull moment with these two.

Lol and hugs to all my friends you know who you are x x x

Good afternoon Sue and Wilsonettes,
Oh how i like this pretty periwinkle colour as it is so soft and gentle against the white and not a shock to the system. Sue sometimes i have less stairs than you have layers on cards and like them i feel knackered by the time i climb to the top, but it is nearly a CAS card with just a few embellishments to take the plainness away from it. Thank you flower for your continued support in showing us new projects each day to brighten us up.
Well having been to Falkirk and suffered from dropsy all day, the breakfast, milk, tablets, coffee when out, things off shelves i decided to give up and come home. The 2nd cuppa i had i asked the lassie to put it in a Tommy Tippee cup as i just could no longer trust my hands to work. The shakes, pins & needles, and hyperventilating probably wasn't helping matters any. So today i am drinking cold for the rest of the day so that if it spills it at least wont burn me. I think i might ask my friend for a loan of the babies beaker when i go up to see her.
Lynne, i think the 5:45 time is when i am just actually getting some sleep before i get woken up by the alarm to go and hubby up for work. You know the Walking Dead film or whatever well i think that is me today as i am cream crackered and walking like a zombie. I think Tilly & Cully must be mixing with the wrong sort with the presents that they bring you and the frights that like to spring, has no one told them that they are supposed to be little ladies and not tomboys?
Lindsay, your daughter will be fine and it will be amazing how quickly they fall into uni life although i hope she remembers the real reason for going to University and it is not for to buy books, pens and booze as my 6'8" ex boyfriend gave the bank manager when he went into extend his overdraft facility at the time, daft skite that he was. He always knew when he was in trouble with me as i wore flat shoes or took my high heels off so that i didn't need to concentrate on balancing as well as giving him what for with my tongue. For someone so very clever he was very thick.
I will leave you all now with hugs to Robbie, Baby Leo, Sam and the fabulous Wilsonettes, take care girls.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil) A beautiful day at the Ochils, so my views are spectacular today, i am so very lucky.

Hi Sue, this is a really beautiful card without being over the top. Love the colours will need to go and re-read the instructions to get them into my head.
May not be able to post for couple of weeks, going to Ibiza and from what I read the internet at the Hotel is diabolical. will try and have a look anytime in somehwere with Wi-Fi. As most of the places are bars I may have to have a glass of something all in the name of the Wilsonette cause.

Sue love to you, Mom and all the others here who need it, or a hug.

It has been a lovely day here today - showing up all the builders dust! Lovely!
Congratulations - Maureen and your husband! Have a lovely day.

Hi Sue,
Fabulous card today - very elegant. The periwinkle card is such a lovely delicate colour. Like how you have recessed the dies too.
Lindsay, I'm sure your daughter will love it once the nerves have gone - such a worthwhile, rewarding profession she is going into ( although I'm pleased I'm now retired from it!) Lynne the pesky critters make me smile but it must be hell for you! Norah, hope your " dropsy" soon disappears! Love and gentle hugs to those that need them. Love Alison xxxx

Fiona Young - ghosting (or gutting as we crude ones call it) means cutting the centre out of your card and just leaving a useable border which can have a smaller mat placed over it. Then you can use the centre bit elsewhere or for cutting flowers etc to match.

Good evening Sue and everyone
Such a beautiful card and fantastic colours, that quite simply shouts elegance! I really love the flower die but had not thought of using it alone I have always put the 'full' daisy behind it, thank you yet again for the wonderful inspiration Sue.

Hope all went well with your physio Sandra just smile your sweetest smile at them no matter what. it makes them nervous I find, the result being they are not so hard on you!

Diane and chips hang on in there brave girl, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Welcome back Gail, I do hope you enjoyed the rest and relaxation you so richly deserve after all you have been through this year.

Do hope all went well for your daughter Lindsay wish her good luck for the year ahead from me please.

Everything went well for my daughter today all the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. She is so looking forward to the children coming into school on Wednesday then she will be really happy. Thank you to everyone for their kind wishes.

Warm wishes and hugs to those who need them especially Pam and Robbie, Cameeli, Sandra, Julie, Steph, Yorkielass, Lynda, Lindsay, Tina, Norah and of course Sue
