Love, Peace, Joy

Good Sunday morning all!  I wanted to show off my Christmas Angel 2014 die as I am incredibly proud of her!  I worked for ages to get her just right as I wanted an angel that could be used for so much more as you will see on the shows.  The close ups show the beautiful deboss twinkles which run down her bodice too.  I started this one by inking my Frosty Swirls embossing folder with a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I used the soft vintage gold card in the folder, ran it through the Grand Calibur and pressed the ink from the floor of the folder on to the gold card.  Once embossed, I dusted the card with gold Sparkle Mica powder for a tone on tone look.  I lightly sanded the raised embossing to create a more matte effect and bring out the pattern.  Using the Grand Square dies, I cut a frame for my card.  I used several of the in between sizes to simply emboss into the frame for interest too.  I added mounting foam and seated it over my background (trimming away any excess that showed from the background).  I cut my Christmas Angel out of coconut white card and used some mounting foam on the back of her bodice to attach her to the card.  I cut a dove to place in her hands.  I stamped a sentiment (from the Joy To The World stamp set by Cr. Exp.) and embossed it in gold.  Using the die from the Vienna die set, I cut it out and mounted it in the upper corner.  I cut out several of the Mosaic Poinsettia in gold along with the Classic Poinsettia in white and made several different sized flowers for my card.  I mounted three smaller poinsettias around my sentiment in the upper corner and one large one in the opposite corner.  I seated all the flowers with Holly Sprays cut from white card.  I added dries clear glue to the leaves and sprinkled them with Ice Snow for bling.  In the upper corner, above the angel, I added a small pearl star as an embellishment.  To complete the card, I added a white pierced mat, a thin gold mat and a final white mat.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.

Now for the Sunday Comment Game winners!  This week's winners are:
Samantha Dalton!!!
Maxine T!!!
Angela (UK)!!!

For the extra qualifying post of Sept. 10, the winners are:
Darlene 4527!!!
Helen Kington!!!
Bea!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize!

Don't forget, today's shows are at 11am, 2pm and 7pm!  All for now, Sue x

Another stunning card Sue. Loved your shows yesterday, your samples and demos are so beautiful. Looking forward to today's shows. Congrats to all winners.
Norah, such a lovely post, thank you for your courage to do that, we are all with you and your family.
Steph, your prescription helped, you are a precious lady.
Robbie has moved his right leg, has been wriggling all toes and has slight movement in his left leg. Mary has posted he continues to improve his upper body strength, with a lot of hard work and determination. We live in hopes for him.
Gentle hugs to Rory, babies Lro and Skylar, big hugs to all who want or need them.

Gorgeous card, Sue, your angel is so beautiful. Especially liked the 'bride' version on the 6 p.m. show (just skimmed through the C&C tape as only on Freeview) - fabulous samples. Think there were two 'firsts' - an easel card!! and samples from others in your design team!! You looked lovely, with perfectly coordinating embellishment (necklace!) Great to have you back. Would have liked more demos but hey ho and not many emails read out (Steph - no-one would have noticed - just nice to hear your name).
Well done to the comment winners.

Norah - thanks for your lovely message - thinking of you and wishing you sunnier days.

Been naughty again and now the Salzburg and French background dies will soon be on their way to Portugal - meanwhile, well done to all the winners !

Today's card is Fabulous ! The angel was my first buy of the Christmas dies ,quickly followed by the pine bough so yesterday I ordered the Holly Swirls EF some embellishments and card, I bought poinsettia , snowflake and holly dies last year , unfortunately not SW ones but can't justify replacing them.
Lovely messages from Norah and Pam, sounds like Robbie is doing great!

Morning Sue
I too love your C.Angel. So much so that after I had bought Noel/Peace and Joy and was determined not to purchase any more seasonal dies when I saw her I just had to have her. She cuts so beautifully and clean and is just perfect. So today's gift is also just perfect! I love the way you have given us a variety of gifts for her to hold. I can also see so many other occasions she can be used for with just little changes here and there. Recorder set for today.

Pam - continuing good news on the Robbie Front. Determination is his middle name.
Norah - you are a very brave young lady. You now need time to come to terms with the last two weeks. Take great care of yourself and your two wonderful children. You are all in my heart.
Sandra - I still don't know what/how my disaster happened. I was taking my plates from the back of the machine and before I knew anything else everything went head over heels. Fortunately the table was the only casualty. I have got one or two more bruises on my right hand/arm but otherwise OK.
After having recovered from my trip out on Thursday I now need megga R&R after yesterday afternoon. I'm so not used to being surrounded by a group of under 5s and a 1yr old Great Grandson who thinks he is a mountain climber! I have to say that I do really enjoy these family times as they are so precious. So today I'm having a little retail therapy R&R buying a new craft table and perhaps a little choc. with a couple of cups of coffee. Well tomorrow is back to normal!

Hope all my Wilsonette sisters are feeling a little better this morning and to those in need stay strong and safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue. WOW !! Today's card is stunning !! It is so classy and elegant. I have the Angel die already !! It was the first of your New Christmas dies that I had bought, along with your gorgeous Holly Swirls left and right facing dies. ( sorry Sue I did not know how else to describe them !! ) After yesterday I now have the Holly Swirls EF to go with them !! The Angel die set is Sooo beautiful. I am so pleased that I have the spellbinders grand square dies to so I will definitely be having a go at today's card. Thank you Sue. I have a couple of weeks to wait until I can order some more goodies but next on my list will be more Christmas background EF's as I love all four of them and flatly refuse to choose between them !! I am also going to buy your gorgeous word die "let it snow" as I have some snowflake stuff that will go with it.

hi sue, now this is a gorgeous beautiful card the attention to details is what you come to expect from a sue wilson card, the dove in her hand being one of them, so lovely. i am recording all todays shows as i am minding our 2yr old greatgrandson and i will watch all the shows tonight, but now most things seem sold out, i wanted the embossing folders as i have finally given in and ordred a grand calibre so i can buy the big sue wilson EF lol, regards J

Wheely Bad said...

Hi Sue

Lovely cards today and yesterday. I need the swirling snow folder, the micro beads and glitter at a bare minimum, and deciding on a second EFwill be difficult. I've loved all the cards on the shows and hopefully that will rub off on my Christmas cards. I hope you have a nice rest when you're finished as next weekend seems it'll be even busier. I'm sure Wilsonettes everywhere will agree that we really do appreciate all the sharing you do. Special hugs from Billy and I xxx

I really enjoyed the shows yesterday and saw the 11 o clock show today. 2pm set to record as we need to run into town and every other bit of the day I'm trying to finish Al's stuff still. I just fell asleep after tea last night ans lost 2 hours of craft time.

Norah, my love to alll of you at this very difficult time. You've been in my thoughts all week.

Pam, I'm delighted for Robbie. I shall leave him a little message soon as I get a minute x

I'm having a rotten problem posting this as the google update on chrome has made posting and even viewing webpages difficult so please forgive such a short post. I've had many supportive comments this week and it's helped so much. You know who you are, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I must go and get half an hour in before Mr W arrives,

Special hugs to all those who need them and hugs to Wilsonettes everywhere,
