You Are So Special
Hello there my crafty friends! I am using another piece of rainbow card for today's card offering. I selected a piece of Silver Sparkle Alcohol ink card. I used Raspberry, Citrus, Sunshine Yellow, Sailboat Blue and Amethyst Alcohol inks. I cut the Butterfly Rectangle Frame out of it and attached it to a piece of black card. I used the thin scallop border die from the Jewelled Scalloped Border die and cut it four times to create a scalloped frame around the outside of the Butterfly Frame. I cut the You Are So Special Block Sentiment out of white card. I added it to the centre of the frame, then cut just the sentiment in black and paper pieced it into the sentiment block. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue a beautiful rainbow card on a dark dark morning, you'll get us as addicted as you are, I think with the main block colour being black this example would be perfect for a males special card, it's almost like the card our daughter gave her husband after she got the all clear after her mastectomy and immunotherapy treatment to show him that his support was second to none, I'd like to see an example using a lighter more delicate block colour only because my imagination is hopeless so I can't see it in my minds eye. It certainly has some WOW factor behind it that's for sure.
Well I'm leaving my comment which means I'm home thank goodness, biopsies taken with hopes it's just a weird long term infection that proves difficult to treat due to the medication I have to inject each week, they won't know for certain if it IS that or something more sinister and I suppose only time will tell, but in the meantime I had some lovely messages yesterday so thank you so much for being so lovely, I've never had so many lovely people in my life as I have here, I have extra special friends I met through the Particraft blog, but to have so many people show they are thinking of you, just a name is so sweet and exciting in a way lol because you know you can always show you care too when the time arises, you really are a special group of people - my blog sisters xxx

Hi Sue, I love the effect of the rainbow coloured card on the beautiful butterfly frame and although the black background really shows it off I am still not a fan of just quite so much black. Having said that, I am not sure what other colour would suit it so well.
