Hello crafters! Hopefully a daffodil card will bring about a nice spring day soon! I selected a piece of pixied card from my stash (it used Emerald Green and Golden Mint Pixie Powders) and used it as a background for half the card. I added it to the bottom of a piece of white card and added a thin black mat to it. I cut the Layered Daffodil dies and made a small bunch of Daffodils using two shades of yellow and two shades of green for the leaves. I assembled them and glued the to the cad. I used the For My Friend sentiment cut in black and glued it to the pixied card. I added two white butterflies from the Dainty Butterfly set to the top of the card. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Oh Fluffycat, what can I say, I'm thrilled for you, now get ya bum out of the litter and get making with your amazing gift. Congratulations sweetheart and congratulations to you Sue on a beautiful springtime collection, I only wish I'd been able to follow each day but I've reached the end and was actually looking at ordering this first smile of spring yesterday for a card I've been asked for.
Apart from Snowdrops and Hellibores, after the Crocus bulbs the bright yellow of the daffodil starts to burst through the cool soil and greets us every morning for weeks and weeks, a sure sign the temperature is slightly rising preparing us for sunnier days.
A beautiful card today Sue bringing a smile to my face too.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a beautiful spring card today, I love to see the daffodils opening up there trumpets to say 'hello wake up it is spring' it also reminds me of Mothering Sunday when I was a child and went to Sunday School, we were all give a daffodil to take home, as I am one of 5 girls Mum always had 5 lovely flowers in a vase. Memories.....

Today's card is beautiful, I love it. I had expected to make some Easter cards featuring the daffodil but they will now have to make way for Chip and Bertie Bunny (I had to give him a name lol) and I know I will have so much fun creating with them.
