Thought Of You Today

Hello crafters! I embossed a piece of white card with the Fanciful Flowers embossing folder for background texture.  Next I cut the Moonflower panel in both white and black card.  I used the black die cut as an offset shadow behind the wwhite one.  I used the Pearl Tints on acetate and streaked them diagonally across using shades of blue and yellow tints.  I allowed it to dry thoroughly then cut the backing for the Moonflower panel and glued it together.  I used the outer frames from the Moonflower and the Buttercup Floral Panels.  I cut one in white and the other in blue and layered them, then added the Moonflower panel on top.  I cut the Thought Of You Today sentiment in black and glued it to the lower corner of the card.  I used a black and white pencil to add some detail to the Moonflower panel.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

This is beautiful. Although you mentioned the black for a fine shadow the blue cardstock gives that lovely 'pop' of colour. Your new panel collection are perfect for all occasions but the subtlety of the design and the expression makes this inspiration very powerful, if all of a sudden you think about a friend or family member you've not heard from for a while it makes you want to contact them, rather than a text (as I did last night) this sample says it all thanks Sue for sharing xxx

JOMADA-DAWN.

A lot of us have troublesome hands/fingers, some of us use large tweezers other blog friends do what's comfortable for them, but use the smallest amount of Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue on the centre back of the flower while you hold the flower etc with the tweezers and place where you want the flowers and stem carefully with the tweezers. Hope this helps, we've all been there are some of us still are lol xx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a stunning creations today I love the Pearl Tints on the acetate as the backdrop for the flowers and leaves, and the frames, this design would look so lovely in a multitude of colours, say yellow for Easter and pink for a birthday, yes I like this one very much.

Good Morning Sue. Awesome. You give us two choices in one card. You give us the one shown here with the beautifully embossed background. But take away the main focal element and attach to a plain slimline card and you have a different card all together. You are so clever Sue and as always. Thankyou. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE STAY SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

Hi Sue, I do love that pearl tints background behind the flowers. I think that it might be too busy on it's own but looks great behind the flowers. I like the embossing folder too.

Hi Sue and everyone, todays card is simply beautiful. Im starting to get used to the white card, I was once scared of it, but seeing how you do it and add an embossing folder or not just inspires me to try again hehe. I just adore the backgrounds on acetate and as others have said they can be done in any colour and for any occasion.

This eye-catching card caught my eye during this month's launch. It was my favorite card. I particularly like the white and deep blue Moonflower Floral Panel on this gorgeous background with the pearl tints. The Fanciful Flowers EF used for the white background is so beautiful, and the sentiment is perfect for no particular reason cards, just to let our friends and loved ones know that they are always in our thoughts and hearts. Thank you, Sue, for creating this beautiful card and sharing it with us.

Hugs from Toronto to you all.
Stay safe and healthy.
