Hope Your day Is Amazing

Good Sunday morning all!  I used a few leftover pieces to make today's card.  Originally I used the fall away pieces of the background to paper piece them back into another card, so I figured I would use the actual piece for another card and this is what I came up with!  It was cut from a pixie powdered card made with Lava Red and Burnt orange and Sun yellow Pixie powders.  I backed it in black for my background.  I cut the inner ring in white then cut the Beach Sunset Stained Glass in black.  I added a piece of black card with a sticky adhesive sheet attached to the backing of the circle then hand cut the excess around it.  I used Polished silk glitters across it (fire red, rose copper and sahara gold).  I added the stained glass to a larger piece of white card and cut the Hope Your Day Is Amazing sentiment in black and glued it below.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4"  in size.

Now for a bit of news!  We have moved to Hobbymaker TV for some of our tv shows.   Sam Poole has shows today, Sunday 27th March at 2pm and 4pm on HobbyMaker

The shows can be watched on Sky 670, Freeview 73, Freesat 807, YouTube and their website https://www.hobbymaker.co.uk

Sam will be showcasing her brand new garden inspired stamp sets and new colours of Cosmic Shimmer Botanical Stains which are inspired by colours derived from the natural dyeing process of plants.

One of Sam’s top crafting tips is to create interesting backing layers by stamping texture stamps around the edges of your card.  I hope you will be able to pop by and see what Sam has to offer!  Her cards are beautiful!!

All for now, Sue x

Oh my word Sue, is that the start of an incredible sunset or an amazing sunrise, whatever we want it to be it took my breath away as filled my screen. Talk about catching flies. This HAS to be one of your backgrounds that's way up there as far as power, emotion and (I can't find the words) WOW.
Do we pack up and leave or grab a blanket, a picnic and have our cameras ready or what lol.
How lovely (and special) for you both to see Sam designing and demonstrating again after allllllllll this time.
Hope you're day is amazing and Happy Mothers Day to our mums celebrating this day today, to those that hold special memories of mums passed - thinking of you xxx

Morning Sue, this card is HOT! Loving the background. I like paper piecing and can imagine how long it took you to use those tiny fall out pieces in your other card. But, so glad that you kept the remaining piece.
Like everyone else I will record Sam's shows.
Happy Mother's day everyone!

Morning Sue - amazing what can be made with leftovers! Wow! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums - enjoy your special day! Also sending love and thoughts to all of those for whom this day is painful - to mothers no longer with us, those unable to be mothers and to those that have lost children, both before and after birth. Beautiful card, and so great to see that you have used up extra pieces from other projects rather than starting from scratch. Thanks for the heads up on the Hobbymaker shows, which are on my planner to record. Jamie did a fantastic job last week showcasing the March range on your behalf. WakeyL

Hi Sue. What an amazing card today. I love the way the colours and the crackle effect background give the effect of extreme heat which is so nice to see on this damp, grey day today.
Thank you for letting us know about Sam Poole's TV shows today which will be a welcome break from the back to back fabric shows on C&C.

Great post using these fab dies...Hope Sam's shows go well, but unfortunately I won't be watching as Hobbymaker is tied to Crafters Companion - not my favourite so will source products and demos from elsewhere...
