Birthday Wishes

Hello there my crafty friends! How about a bit of paper piecing for todays offering!  I started by cutting the Hexagon Background out of white card.  I attached a piece of sticky adhesive sheet to another piece of white card and laid the Hexagon Background down onto it.  Next I cut the background again out of the yellow, pink and purple versions of the dotty paper from the Dots 'N Stripes paper pad.  I used the fall away pieces from each of these and began paper piecing them in a diagonal manner into the original Hexagon background die cut. It looks a bit daunting, but it went very quickly and it is oddly relaxing too! LOL I used the Double Stitched Squares and made a multi-layered white frame and added it over the background with mounting foam.  I cut the Belated Birthday Wishes sentiment and nipped away the belated part of it and glued it to the top inside of the frame.  Using the Pinwheel Florals, I made three flowers out of the colours from the paper pad and added them to the bottom edge of the frame.  I accented the flowers with white leaves from the set.  The cards was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all blog friends.
I think this is one I remember at launch, it's very intricate Sue and if you're fingers work perfectly it's a real relaxing thing to do but I do struggle as I have little to no feelings in the tips of my fingers so I'll admit to doing a lot of tutting and sighing and when I get really cross I've been heard to growl somewhat lol. So if its anyone's birthday out there today "Happy Birthday"
To you Sue and all that visit stay well, be happy and stay safe xxx

Hi Sue. I love this hexagon background die and you have shown us a really eye catching way to use it. Not sure if I have the patience for all this paper piecing though but I do admire you for completing this project.

Good Morning Sue. A lovely card today Sue. And the colours are beautiful. You must have some patience to pierce all these pieces back in position. Like STEPHANIE I too have difficulty with the tips of my fingers. I rely on my tweezers ... They are my fingers and have been for a long time. This card will certainly cheer someone up. Thankyou Sue.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE STAY SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, well you know this sample is one of my favourites Sue because I absolutely love paper piercing, so this ticks all my boxes and I believe that I have all the dies to make this, thank you so much for sharing, I know some people get very daunted at the thought of paper piercing but it really can be very therapeutic.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

This is so lovely but I wonder how long it took to piece it? Is there a short cut I wonder. Those flowers are among my favorites.
Hope everyone's week is starting well,

Hi Sue, as I've mentioned countless times; I love paper piecing and this design is one to attempt but not with a G&T beside me.
This background would be good for any sports fanatic using their respective team colours.
Thank you for a lovely card.
