Hello bloggers! I started with a piece of white card as the background base. Next I cut the
Beach Lighthouse Stained Glass three times out of aqua card, white card, card and black card. I used the aqua as the base and nipped away the lighthouse out of the white die cut and glued it on top. I nipped away the base area of the lighthouse out of the black card and glued it on top. I used a marker and added yellow to all the windows in the lighthouse. I cut a sun out of a small piece of leftover pixied card and added it to the sky. Next I cut the black base area and made it match up with the base area in the lighthouse die and glued it to the bottom of the card (think either silhouette or black Hawaiian sand beaches! LOL) I cut the
Beach Palm Tree Stained Glass and nipped away the palm trees. I cut the die in both tan and green card and put the colours together to make the palms. I glued them to the left side of the card. I added the
Life's A Beach sentiment cut in black to the top of the card. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

On our few days of relaxation we went to Flamborough where there are wild wild rock faces and waves crashing like I've never seen in all my ?? Years but it has the most beautiful light houses, 1 modern but also a chalk house!!! To our overseas friends if interested Google lol. So here we have the golden sun the palm trees and a beautiful warm looking dream, my reality was the heights frightened the smile off my face lol my bobble hat nearly blew off and the cold chilled my bone marrow ask which appeals to me more the answer is right here lol.

Hi Sue, sorry I missed commenting yesterday, it was rather a busy day. Love this unusual take on a retirement card. The detailing on the shirt is brilliant and the wee hibiscus tucked in the pocket is a perfect finishing touch.
Today's card is also very clever. I have never seen a black beach in real life but I know they do exist so I think this makes a pleasant change from the usual yellow sand or pebbles, well done.

Great card Sue. Reminds me of Souter lighthouse where we stop for a coffee break when walking along the coastal path nearby.
Tenerife has a blackish beach and palm trees. Oh to be back there now in the sun instead of this cold grey day here in the N.E.
