Hello bloggers! I started out with a piece of black card for today's card. I coated it with Crackle Glaze and allowed it to dry. Next I used a mixture of Warm White Matt Chalk Paint with a little bit of Chocolate Gold Lustre Paint for colour and painted over it. The crackle effect starts immediately, but I had to set it aside to dry thoroughly since I needed to die cut it. I waited until the next day and used the Square Aperture die and cut it. I lined it up with a piece of black card and taped the inner scallops into place in each of the apertures, removed the original piece then cut the black card. I glued the two pieces together, then added a white backing piece to it. Using the Home Tweet Home die set, I cut the two birdhouses, the branches, birds, birds nest and the sentiment. I then added them to the four apertures, putting the tall birdhouse on the outside right edge of the card. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
