Hello bloggers! I decided to do a quick Birthday card in silhouette. I started with a piece of Pixied card that I used
Lava Red, Burnt Orange and Sun Yellow Pixie Powders on to create. I used the
Square Aperture die and cut it into the pixied card. I lined up the inner scalloped dies on to a piece of black card and cut them. I glued the two pieces together then added a white backing with mounting foam. Using the
Birthday Accessories and some of the pieces from the
Birthday Shadowbox die set, I added them into each of the four apertures. I used the bow off of the
Happy Easter die set at the top of the card. Using the
Double Stitched Square die set, I added a black frame around the outside of the apertures. I added a
Happy Birthday To You sentiment across the centre of the card. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Fabulous. Now this would be wonderful for those awkward males, a cracking idea for anyone but because of the silhouette I feel its that that says "make a guy smile with this card"

A really great card, love the pixi colours used.
Love it... The pixies set of the silhouettes beautifully but its the dies themselves that do the work and this range is fab. Can't get enough of the aperture sets..

Hi Sue, I'm sorry to say that I am not too sure about this card. I do like silhouettes but I don't think the birthday accessories work as well as your stained glass dies for example. I will re-visit during the day and see if it grows on me :-)

Hi Sue. I am glad you said that this was a really quick card to create because I thought that it would have taken longer with all the detail. I suppose that is what we are all after at the end of the day - a card that looks really intricate but is quick and easy to make!
