Hello crafters! Back to my background sash to start today's card. I used
Teal Marine, Zesty Lime and Green Bay Pixie Sparkles to create this background. I cut the
Hexagon Aperture into the pixied card, then lined up the inner scalloped dies on a piece of white card and cut them. I glued the two pieces together and added a black card backing to it. I left a wide margin around the hexagons then added a white frame using the
Double Stitched Squares. I also matted it with a slightly larger mat using them too. I added a final black mat cut from the
Scalloped Squares. I used the
Birthday Accessories inside the apertures. I cut the party hat, two presents, three candles and a cake in white and added them to the four corner apertures with foam. I cut the
A Gift mini expression for the middle aperture. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

I'm hoping there will be a video for this or similar inspiration, not only because I miss our video days but I do better with visual instructions, it seems to sink in and stay there rather than having to find the right post for the particular sample, I can then download the video for future reference. Again, I can try to imagine how beautiful the background is but those apatures look so dainty surrounded with little scallops. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, you know I love the background colours on this one, it is gorgeous, with the different layers of colours around the apertures, I love the little presents and things inside even down to the glitter on the cake, genius.

I love this card and the die is so easy to use. Katie my youngest granddaughter came last night with her sister who is having extra tutoring in maths at my house and she asked to make a mothers day card. We had such fun using the circle aperture die and picking the little dies to use. She did it all herself and it turned out amazing.Take care everyone x

Good Morning Sue. I love those co!ours on your background. The pixies are so versatile I think ... because if you had used them in different colours and kept everything else the same you would have had a very different card here. Love your teal background Sue. I only have 3 pixie powders as I tend to spend on dies. Must start saving up as I've been really impressed with many of your latest cards using them. I only make cards for immediate family and friends along with some charity ones nearer to Christmas.
