Thanks

Hi bloggers!  I started with a piece of black card and used the Summer Sky Opal Polish across the card.  When used on black card, this polish has a gold timbre to it.  I used the Quilted Pillow embossing folder, then cut the background into three wide strips.  I added the strips to a piece of white card with mounting foam.  Next I cut the Maggie die in both white and black card.  I cut the backing out of an extra bit of the Opal Polished card.  I attached it to the black die cut, then cut the centre of it out.  I nipped the white one in half.  I added the white halves to the top of bottom of the black die cut so they showed above and below the die.  I added the die cut to the backing with mounting foam.  I cut a Decorative Flag and cut the Thanks sentiment in both opal polished card with a black shadow.  I added it across the centre of the die.  I cut the Striped Nasturtiums outline die and made a flower.  I added a black eyelash centre with a pearl then added it to the side of the flag die.  Using Lace Edged leaves, I accented the flower.  The card was completed with white, and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  7" in size.

I wanted to let you know that I will be doing a demo on Gwen Fletcher's Create and Craft show this afternoon at 3:00pm UK time!  I hope you can pop in to have a watch!  All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue. Firstly I was absolutely thrilled to see so many names on the winners post yesterday, I know its special when someone wins but when you've seen those people support your blog day after day for years it just makes me smile. The competition website you use to draw names did well Sue, and you made a lot of our regular family very very happy.
I see the folder that makes you very happy is star of the show again lol is it my phone screen or does it have that green tinge? You've used one of my many favourite dies - Maggie, her design is so pretty with those fall away hearts too for another project. As soon as I read this post you were put into my black box to remind me to watch you and its downtime I'm so looking forward to. Love to you and colin hope you are both staying well, to all our happy blog friends have a lovely day/evening and STAY SAFE KEEP CARING xxx

Hello Sue, a really beautiful and striking card, I must remember to try the Opal polishes on Black card. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

You’d never think the card underneath was black, the opal polishes are very versatile. I must admit I’m not very good when it comes to creating a shadow effect with my sentiments but yours always look perfect!

Enjoy the show!

What a classy colour combination. I love the quilted pillow & use this a lot, as I do the nasturtiums. Looking forward to seeing you at 3pm. Something to look forward to on this dismal, wet day! Thank you Sue.

Hi Sue
Oh magnificent Maggie! She really is a stunner. Lots of blasts from the past on today’s wonderful card. I am lucky enough to have all of the dies in my stash that you have used. I haven’t got the quilted pillow EF folder or any opal polishes so wouldn’t be able to replicate this beauty exactly, but I could have a try to create something similar - try being the operative word x
I have been watching the lovely Gwen in action on Create and Craft. You must be over the moon that your new dies are proving to be such a runaway success. Not that there was ever any doubt. It will be interesting to see if there is any stock left when you have your demo at 3. I hope you have a contingency plan x
I can’t tell you how lovely it is to be back and thank you to all those of you who welcomed me - nice to know I was missed, lol x
I will love you and leave you and I hope that everyone is managing to have a good weekend even though it is a struggle at the moment x
