Season's Greetings

Hello all!  This will be my final single Christmas card post, but I really liked this one so I saved it for last!  I started by cutting the Ruffled Edged Christmas Frame out of white card.  I backed it with Ruby Red to show through.  I did the same thing with the smaller rectangle die in the set, cut it in white and backed it in red, then I cut the centre out of it to create a thin frame.  For the inside of the frame, I cut the centre die as the background and used the scalloped one to cut an aperture in it.  I recessed the decorative version into the aperture and added a white backing to it.  I cut the Season's Greetings sentiment in red and added it to a white shadow backing and glued it in the centre of the card.  Using the top two layers from the Triple Layered Poinsettia to cut an open flower, I cut several to create a couple of flowers.  I used spray glue then coated them with glitter before assembling them.  I attached them into the corner and used the decorative leaves from the set cut out of white card as accents.  I added a thin satin ribbon bow as an embellishment.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.

My absolute favourite Christmas song is the David Bowie/Bing Crosby version of Little Drummer Boy.  It is followed by a close second of Greg Lake's version of  I Believe In Father Christmas.  I could listen to both of these all year round! LOL   All for now. Sue x

A lovely sample and song choices. As I thought as soon as I read through the song choices yesterday I remembered so many beautiful festive songs and agreed with most, so it seems I have about 6 favourites and like your festive inspiration I could look at them every day and there's that gorgeous die I can't wait to use when the madness returns to normality. The pop of red is just so lovely to highlight the border and your floral element is just adorable Sue.
Sending love and hugs to our Australian friends and to anyone that reads the post today xxx

A lovely, sharp and clean card mad so by the simple colour choice.

I love your two music choices. I remember standing a few feet away from Greg Lake at a Hall Ball in Sheffield when The Nice we’re playing before they went into the stratosphere and got too grand for such simple venues. Regrettably, I never saw Bowie Live.

Have a lovely Christmas where ever you are.

Christmas greetings to all your blog followers as well.

Hi Sue, a beautiful card for the finale. Love the ruby red card but were you not tempted to use fire red glitter kiss on it? I think I would have found it hard to resist :-)

Love your two song choices and I hope you get to play them a lot over the holidays.
