Warmest Wishes

Hi Bloggers!  Say hello to Yupo Paper, as that's what I have used here!  I started with a piece of white Yupo paper and used Red Pepper alcohol ink with a smidge of Cool Peri for depth.  I used the inks on a Ranger Felt Applicator and applied it to the paper until the entire background was covered.  The Yupo paper works with the alcohol inks to create lovely patterns.  Next I cut the Lattice poinsettia Background die out of the centre of it.  I backed it with a piece of coconut white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I attached it to the die cut then added Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to the remaining exposed adhesive areas for a bit of bling.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to create a thin white frame around the centre cut out area.  I cut the Tis The Season sentiment out of Antique Gold and Gold Mirror card.  I used the mirror card behind as a shadow and glued it into place in the centre of the poinsettias on the background.  I completed the card with white and gold mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 3/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue, lovely traditional deep red colours using a card stock I've not tried. It certainly does look good on today's card. Thank you for sharing xx

Morning Sue, what a stunning card, love the alcohol inked background. Yupo paper is great to work with, just fairly pricey, so use it sparingly. Have a great day everyone. Bx

Morning Sue. I wonder why I've not seen you use this Yupo paper, I'm intreaged and need to research this. Oh, I treated myself to some frosty Glitter Bits last week and they are stunning so intense if you adore bling, so I can imagin the glitz and glitter shine that comes from this sample is immense. I really love the look of your Lattice Poinsettia die, I held my breath earlier in the week when you explained where you were snipping away bits to make the white tone on tone sample lol but to see it in full with the beautiful shades of ink really brings the beauty out in the design it's really pretty. Not only did I make a cutsie Gingerbread mummy and daughter card yesterday I also mixed some of your later festive dies with Lisa's cute Santa and her festive window die to make a card for a little 3yr old boy and his daddy, so it shows just how versatile the CE teams die designs can all come together to make a fun festive card. So thanks to you Sue for your beautiful inspiration, not only for today but for the samples from years gone by that still help today. Hope you have a more 'restful' day and hope it's a good one xxx

Hi Sue
Oh what a beauty. That colour is amazing. The poinsettia background is fast.becoming one of my favourite Christmas dies. To snip it of not to snip it - that is the question!
Yupo paper is not like anything else. I stumbled across some demonstrations on you tube and was fascinated. Then you had some at Ally Pally and showed me what it could - it is one of those wow products.
Happy Wednesday everyone

Have a wonderful day.

Lovely card. I am a big fan of yupo paper. Yupo paper is again on my Christmas list.
I generally squeeze droplets of alcohol inks onto the yupo paper. Sometimes I use a drinking straw to blow the ink around on the yupo being careful not to inhale too much of the fumes. I have not tried the canned air yet for another effect. I get mesmerized by the action of the inks on this paper. Sometimes I just don't know when to quit with the droplets because I am having such fun. I have used glossy paper when I am out of yupo. Seems to have a similar reaction as the yupo.

I really like Yupo paper. Very fun to play with. A friend brought the Ranger Lift Ink pad for us to play with on Yupo and that was interesting also. I still reserve my alcohol inks mainly for "Caught in Crystal" which I learned here!
This card is beautiful. I am always a little reserved with glitter but it always looks great on your cards.
A great day, everyone,

Hi Sue, this card is beautiful and I love it lots. I have a memory of you showing Yupo paper on one of your Hochanda shows, I think Hayley was presenting and she was as intrigued as I was. I have not yet bought any but going by the previous comments I think I really should as I do enjoy playing with my alcohol inks.
