Hi bloggers! I have two different Christmas cards to give away today and an extra one of the first card too (siince it was done for a demo at the CHA shows). I hope this will make up for the shocking lack of photos I have of these. I hadn't realised when I took these cards with me for the CHA show in July that I had not photographed them. I tried to take some pictures of them in my hotel room, but let's just say that they made my regular photography skills really shine! So just the one of each today. If you would like to be entered into the drawing for these cards, you know the drill, just leave me a comment today and I will announce the three winners on Saturday's post. I will give you a rundown of both cards though. The first card was created by covering a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet. I peeled the backing off and covered it with gilding flakes (Summer Meadow, I believe) Next I embossed it with the Sea Garden embossing folder for added texture. I stamped my sentiment (from Heartfelt Creations) and embossed it with gold powder. I cut it out with the Vintage Labels Three die from Justrite stamps. I cut a mat for it from the next size up in that set. To create the frilly decorative element around the sentiment, I used the Ornamental Add On die set from Heartfelt Creations. I cut eight of them and cut them in half and used one side of them. Now here's the clever part, I used the other side of the die to create a similar, but slightly different look on the second card. The die is not symmetrical so you can easily get many different looks from it. On the card below, I used a striped decorative paper from my stash and stamped my sentiment in silver. I made the flowers using the same technique that I showed on my first video, using silver satin ribbon. I finished the card with two of these flowers and some flatback pearls in the corners. Both cards were framed with double white mats with pierced inner layers. I usually post the sizes of the finished cards, but you will have to email me if you need them. I can have a coworker measure the cards for you before they are posting off to the winners. All for now, Sue x

Fabulous cards - both are equally stunning. Love gilding flakes, the background is spectacular. Also the silver and white card is brilliant, I'll have to try the flower technique.
Thanks for sharing.
