You Make My Heart Smile

Hi bloggers!  I picked a piece of Sherbet card for the background.  I cut the Decorative Scalloped Border into the two side edges of the card.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and added the die cut background over it.  I sprinkled Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on the remaining sticky areas.  Next I inked the Tiger Lily Stampcut die with black water based ink.  I used Alcohol Ink Markers to colour the image.  I attached it to the centre of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the sentiment from the Love Wordie sheets and added it at the bottom of the card with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue and everyone that visits.
Before I carry on.... June Smith hope today brings a better day for you and that whatever is making you feel unwell does one and does one quickly. Take care lovely.
Sue, you make our heart smile every morning of every day of every month and every year, so please keep us smiling. For me the strength of this shade of pink is too strong for the delicacy of the Tiger Lily. Maybe swap the colours so the pink is the background with Glitterbitz shining through and the decorative scalloped border cut from the Sherbet pink, that way both the lily and border get equal dibs of glory, just my opinion - sorry Sue. Hope everyone wherever you are had a great weekend of celebrations. Sending love to you both and to all that pop in this bank holiday Monday xx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a beautiful sample yet again with the lovely tiger lily, my die is begging to come out of the packet and play, but alas it will be a few more days before that can happen, the medication is beginning to kick in so I don't want to chance doing anything yet, thank you Steph Cotterill and all you wonderful friends for all your best wishes.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June smith xxx

Hi Sue, I looked at today's card on my phone earlier and thought that the gorgeous sherbet card clashed somewhat with the Tiger lilies - not how I remembered it from the launch. However, looking at it again now on my laptop, I get a totally different look and one that I like very much. I love the treatment of the Decorative Scalloped Border die with the pearls and glitter, beautiful.

June Smith - sending hugs and hope the meds help you feel better very soon.

Hi Sue. Love the design of the card because I particularly like the border die, but unfortunately the colours don't look too good on my computer screen (I am sure that look much better in real life).
