You Are My Happiness

Hello bloggers!  I picked a piece of soft salmon card as the background.  I used some of the black and white striped paper from the Monochrome Paper Pad to the top and bottom of the card.  I cut the Decorative Scrolled Frame twice out of white card.  I cut one of them in half down the centre and glued the halves to the sides of the card.  I glued the last one to the centre of them. I inked the Petunia Stampcut die in black and cut it, then coloured it with alcohol ink markers.  I added it to the card with mounting foam.  I cut two sentiments from Wordie sheets and placed them in opposite corners of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  9"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Wow, love the colour, but I think the
overall look is too busy for me, sorry!

Morning/afternoon everyone that pops in.
Mmmm, sorry Sue its a little busy for me, I'm not sure if the Peony detracts from the scrolled frame or vise versa, maybe if the Peony had been a different stronger colour to the rest of the colour choice it may make some difference, but as it stands, this inspiration isn't for me but there will be more that really love it that feel some uncertainty.
Love to all this May day Bank Holiday xxx

Hello Sue, a beautiful card. I must buy the monochrome paper pad. It always catches me out when you use it as you have in this sample as I always think you have used a die lol.

Hi Sue
Happy Monday everyone x
Gorgeous. Love the way you have made the background with the Decorative Scroll Frame die. Perfect for the Petunias. Said it before and I’ll say it again, your Stampcut dies are perfect for creating these wonderful focal points. The monochrome edge finishes things off beautifully x
Take care everyone x
Sending positive thoughts to all x

Morning Sue - I seem to be in the minority, but I absolutely love this card, both the composition and the colour! The monochromatic edges make a real impact too! Colleen xx

Not sure about this one, don’t know if it is too busy or too much of the one colour but love the fact that you have so much variety with your cards. You know the saying, ‘you can’t please all of the people all of the time’ well somehow you manage it 99.9% of the time so I reckon that’s pretty good going! Thank you Sue.

Hi Sue, I really like this card. Love the soft salmon colour and the Decorative Scrolled Frame used in this way puts me in mind of a frieze around a Regency drawing room.

I quite love this card. The color is a favorite and I love the background. The black/white borders draw the eye into the center.
Hope all are safe & happy,
