Wish Big

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's card was another one of those cards that I try to make using some of my leftover bits.  I selected some yellow and pink card in differing shades.  I cut them into 1/2" strips.  I covered a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet, then laid down the strips, alternating the colours.  I used the shadow backing die rom the Wish Big die set and cut it on the diagonal (just to be a bit different).  I backed the entire piece with a piece of the black and white striped paper from the Monochrome Paper Pad.  I cut the Wish Big sentiment in black and added in the aperture cut with the shadow die.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Ohhh Sue, I'm sorry but it's making my eyes go funny, it looks all out of focus. This isn't our Sue Wilson at her best.
Hope everyone in the UK is enjoying the beautiful weather were lucky to have lately, and keep as well as you can. Happy Sunday everyone xxx

Morning Sue and all wilsonettes, oh dear I must agree with Steph that this really does make my eyes go funny, so this one is not for me, but I am sure there are lot's of people out there who would be making this sample.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xx

Hi Sue
I’m with Steph on this one, it made my eyes go funny and I couldn’t focus on it - I think it is those stripes behind the sentiment causing the problem.

I am another who doesn't like stripes behind the
sentiment, perhaps just a plain colour to make it
pop. The rest of the stripes are fine. Arn't we
all different!!

Good morning Sue
Todays card is such an optical illusion and agree the stripes make your eyes go funny lol.

Not sure about this one. I think, like others have said, it’s the stripes behind the sentiment that I’m not keen on. X

Hi Sue. I thought it was just my eyes when I opened the post and tried to focus on the sentiment, but now that I have read everyone else's comments I can see that it is not just me, but if you don't try something different you will never know whether it works or not.

Yes, agree with others, not for me, just couldn’t focus properly. Think you are trying to stir our creative juices by offering us so much variety! Thank you Sue.

I’m with most of the other and think that the black on the stripe paper is too much , maybe another colour on the stripe would be better

Hi Sue
A great way to use up all those scraps of card that we all have, I like the stripes around the edge of the card but the ones behind the sentiment really do make my eyes go funny

Love and hugs to everyone

Hi Sue, I do love the bold background but the stripes backing the sentiment make me want to adjust the horizontal hold on my TV (for those of you old enough like me to remember!). I think a plain backing would work better.

Sorry, not my favourite post...Agree with a lot of the other comments. However the concept is good and easily changeable with the colours and sentiment to suit the occasion....

Quite an unusual design, but, great for the younger ones which are quite hard to make cards for
