Special Delivery

Hello crafters!  I started today's card by having a rummage through my printed papers pile.  I found these two and decided to use them together.  I added a thin black strip of card between the border of both of them.  I cut the First Train in black gloss card and added the extra wheels for dimension cut in black.  I cut matching stars and filled the train car with them.  I cut a white piece to seat the trains on then matted it in black and added it to the card.  I used the Cutest Clothesline cut in white to hand stars from as bunting.  I cut the letters from the Art Deco Alphabet alphabet lower case set and glued them to the bunting stars.  I cut the Special Delivery sentiment in black and added it to a white backing piece and attached it below the train.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue.
It certainly is a special delivery, but also a 1st birthday too for the cutest of little boys. It's a fabulous mix of new dies all geared up for the newest of little ones, oh oh, and how about a retirement for someone that worked for the rail or who loves getting involved with steam trains or the likes (Amtrack) I knew there was a reason for being 'late' my brain has woken up too lol. Thank you for this collection of beautiful new dies, I really need every single one of them, but I also need a reason to make people smile again through the inspiration you give.
Love to all this lovely spring day xxx

Hi Sue. I love this little train and the good thing about it is that it could be used for many different occasions by filling the tender with different objects. Imagine it filled with presents or trees for Christmas.

Absolutely gorgeous post - love the pinks (big statement for the person that doesn't do pink lol) and the train die set one of my favourites from the launch is perfect in black...

Hi Sue, a great card and the First Train set is certainly not just for new-borns. Although my husband, a lifetime railwayman is a long time retired he still has a keen interest in trains all over the world. I don't think little boys ever really grow up :-).
