Dashing Through The Snow

Hi Bloggers!  I just love this little village scene!  I used another piece of Midnight Blue Pixie powdered background as the base for the card.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut the piece into two sloping hills, then glittered them with Iced Snow.  I cut the village buildings in white, added a gold backing and glued them to the background, mostly against the blue background, but I added a few on the lower hilly area. I cut a small white circle and glued it in the sky and added Santa's sleigh flying past it.  I used the Dashing Through The Snow sentiment and the horse drawn carriage cut in black and attached in the lower left corner.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  9"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue and everyone.
I remember this pretty winter scene at launch, it's so quaint how you've set the festive mood, Santa way above and the Christmas Eve sleigh ride in the snow.... you're just a festive romantic at heart are you not lol.
Have a lovely day, keep well, be happy xxx

Hi Sue, I love, love this card. It was the first one I made using my new dies. I had to guess the size so needed to make a couple of adjustments using some different houses but it turned out well and I am really pleased with it. It was quite time consuming as the pieces are small but I will be making some different ones in between some simpler ones.

A beautiful card with what we regard as a typical Christmas scene, yet in fact we rarely have snow at Christmas! Thank you Sue.

Such a beautiful card!
I see by the dimensions, it’s pretty big.
About how much smaller can this be made without losing too much?
I have ordered these dies. Can’t wait to try to make this.
Thank you!
