Seas The Day
Hello crafters! I selected the Seashells stencil and taped it to a piece of white card. I used Clear Texture Paste through the mask. While the mask was still in place, I sprinkled Coral Crush Pixie Sparkles all over it. I spritzed it with water very lightly then allowed it to sit for a few minutes before careully removing the mask. I set it aside to dry throroughly. Once dry, I used the Double Stitched Circles and cut an aperture in the lower corner. I used the same set to make a thin frame to go around the aperture and added it with mounting foam. I used the Under The Sea Creatures and cut the seahorse and starfish to go in the aperture. I also used a bit of the Underwater Life Frame as a coral backdrop for them. I used the Seas The Day sentiment cut in black and glued to the upper corner of the card. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size.
I wanted to let you know that Jamie Rodgers will be doing shows on Hobby Maker today at 1, 3, and 5pm using his new In And Out Dies. You are certainly going to want to tune in to see all his great demos! All for now, Sue x

I shell now add my thoughts about today's inspiration. I love the background technique with the texture paste and the one and only Pixies, I use to love watching you demonstrate the stencils Sue, you had me mesmerised, always so perfect and clean I know my attempts would look like a pigs ear, so the biggest thing that attracts my attention here is the background the design within the apature gets a little lost.
