Sending Love

Hello bloggers!  I selected a piece of black card and embossed it with the Hearts On A String embossing folder for texture.  Next I cut the Dandelion Stained Glass Circle out of both black and white card.  I nipped away the dandelions out of the white die cut and used the black die cut in whole.  I glued it to a piece of pearlescent watercoloured card (from my background stash pile)  I used Turquoise Cascade, Jade Sparkle and Lilac Sapphire watercolour inks on it.  I cut two Double Stitched Circles and matted them and glued the Dandelion Circle to them.  I used the white dandelions as accents spraying out from the main focal element.  I cut the Sending Much Love out of some leftover watercoloured card and added a white shadow behind it, then glued it in the upper corner.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi to everyone this Saturday morning. There's a lot of black here but on this occasion I think it works, my 'keeper' always has something useless to say if I use the smallest touch of black to make something pop, but if I reply "Sue uses more than I've used" then all is well in the world and he skulks away with tail between his legs, so I can wave today's beautiful sample at him and say "there you go, proof" lol, will be interesting to see how many friends have the same opinion over the black cardstock but I just love this sample.
Hope both of you are having a good time loving every moment. Keep safe happy and well xxx

Good morning Sue
I don’t use black a lot and usually only a small mat, so today’s card shouldn’t work for me but weirdly it does lol!

Love the contrast between the black & white flowers. The black version looks so much bigger cut away from the circle. A very striking card today Sue which I love. Thank you Sue.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a pretty card today, love the embossing folder you have used, I saw Jamie the other day on TV demoing another of the heart embossing folders and how he coloured just the hearts with a brayer, it was very impressive. Beautiful card thank you xx

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June smith xcxx

Hi Sue. What a truly inspiring card today. Love the embossing folder that you have used and also the way you have used the flowers from the die separately (I thought that they were different dies at first). I know a lot of people would shy away from using black card in the background, but I love the way the bright colours pop against it.

Hi Sue

Quite a dramatic card today. The lovely embossing folder looks so different with dark card. I must admit to using mainly white to emboss. Love the pop of colour in the circle.

So different from yesterday's card and your style that you normally do. I agree, the black background makes the card pop. I use black on my cards, but not very often and not a lot, so I'm very surprised that I really like this card with a black background. Thank you Sue for sharing.

Hugs from Toronto to you all.
Stay safe and healthy.
