All Things Grow With Love

Hello crafters!  Today's offering is an actual shaped card (they are a little hard for me to photograph, so sorry!)  I started by cutting the Watering Can Shaped die out of silver card.  I then folded a piece of white card and used the outer cutting die so that the handle of the watering can is slightly off of the fold on the white card (you can just see the folded part showing in this pic).   I used a bit of white pencil to shade and highlight the watering can.  I used some Black Soot Distress ink around the edges too.  Using the dies from the Floral Bouquet, I cut several different flowers out of pastel colours.  There is a stem with a large circle on it that is for gluing the flowers to.  I arranged the flowers and added some leafy bits and attached the ends to the back of the watering can, then I glued it to the white folded base to hide the stems.  I added a small butterfly to the top of the can too. I cut the All Things Grow With Love sentiment out of both white and black card and shadowed it, then glued it to the watering can.   The finished dimensions are 4"  x  6 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue and blog friends.
This die was one of the oh so lovely and different curvballs from one of the summer 2021 launches, so unusual but beautiful. I'd love to see more inspiration made with these dies especially leading up to Easter, I can almost imagine the watering can with flowers, foliage and some of your smaller Easter egg dies hidden within the flowers - something tells me I could do with the watering can etc.
Wherever you are I hope that you are winding down, relaxing and having fun. Stay safe and well everyone. Love to all that pop in and to our missing friends xx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another gorgeous card sample, I like the over the edge card shapes as I think these are so popular especially with children, this sample would be ideal for my hubby and b-i-l and grandchildren, who are all keen gardeners, thanks for the inspiration.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxxx

Hello Sue, a gorgeous card, the flowers are so pretty. I think this watering can card would also look good with daffodils from your finishing touches range released a few years ago (CED1481)

Hi Sue, sorry I am a bit late today. I love your watering can and the die is on my list. You have made a lovely card that is so very cheerful on this dark and dismal day so at least I can go to bed dreaming of Spring and Summer to come.

I have the watering can die and love it. Have made 2 cards using it. I actually cut it out on shrink plastic, coloured it in very pastel blue then shrunk it to about 1/7th size. Looks great on the card I made with it. Even better is that I won the die from Sue’s particraft release comments!!! Thanks Sue. X
