Gilded Love Card

Hi bloggers!  Today's video card is a super simple card to make but the addition of gilding flakes to it really makes it pop!  It is sure to delight any recipient.

Also, just a reminder, but I am hoping to get all the drawings done and posted later today for the die launch winners! Be sure to check back this afternoon to see if your name is included in that list of winners!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue. Very elegant.
Tina, sorry Mick had such a bad day yesterday, you are having a very traumatic time.
Tuna T, hope Peters consultation goes well today.
Elaine, Andrew has been so strong through this period he is bound to have a little wobble. I agree with you, he will tolerate the treatment better now he is stronger.
Tracey, hope the work meeting went well.
Wheeley, missing you, are you okay
It has been fun seeing the photos from AP and all of the positive happy comments from the bloggers who were there. If anyone is getting a coach trip next year organised, make sure Hartlepool is on the pickup and I will be there woohoo.
Good luck to all Wilsonettes in Sues draw.

Morning Sue. What a golden delight for us to wake up to. It looks so rich and decadent, this is just one of the many reasons why your 'word' dies are so useful, you chose your LOVE die to use on this video - which I will watch after I've clicked publish, but any of the collection could be used, imagin this using the polished silk red glitter in place of guilding flakes for a very opulent Valentine's day card. This is one reason we just love collecting your dies Sue when we can as they give us so many options and variations.
Tuesday hugs are heading their way to you, and hope you are feeling a little less tired than you must have felt yesterday, and that the majority of the samples you need for the next batch of exciting shows are mostly done and ready ?!
Have a good day whatever your plans apart from your launch draw xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a really stunning card today, love gilding flakes and they really do make these sorts of cards pop, very classy - as my Mum always used to say - I will watch the video later when breakfast arrives. Tina T and Peter, will be thinking of you this evening and hoping all goes well, hugs.
Elaine and Andrew, I hope you have a better day today sending special hugs
Tracy sending hugs and hope the work meeting went well
Tina and Mick, special hugs to you both, it is such a hard time but you will get through this and get stronger so the treatment will begin

Everyone is eagerly awaiting to see if their name gets selected to receive one of your dies from the blog launch, yes me included, so good luck to everyone.

Sue I know you had a hard weekend so try and have a couple of relaxing hours within the next few days as you have shows on Hochanda this weekend, I am sure you have all the samples and packs ready well in advance.

Beautiful card! For me, gilding flakes and embossing powders are my favourite crafting medium. I love the way you can use different words in the main cut out, clever bit of designing. Talking of clever designing I am disappointed that you haven't been nominated for Best designer in the Crafts Beautiful voting. There isn't even an 'other' category I'm sure I'm not the only one that is disappointed, I'm sure that all Wilsonettes are in agreement with me, to us you are the best designer!

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Now knowing that i am not a black fan Sue please don't faint, but this card has the perfect colours for a special friend of mine and although i might need to change the forever part to another the card is just so perfect. I think i will need to contemplate hard on getting this Love die, but i can use one of my other striplets on it to make the card.
Did you have a wonderful time at the show Sue? I think there is a good few people that you made their day for them and it's nice to see that Princess Pixie and Lorraine enjoyed and behaved themselves, lol. I would love to be able to go to the AP show but it's just too far for me to go and back again in one day and making it into a weekend stay would put it way out of my budget, but i love when the Wilsonettes that can get share with us that can't so we can imagine being there ourselves. You all think that you're only bringing the joy and fun that you had out when you tell what happened, but it's oh so much more than that to us that can't get as we can imagine ourselves there with you and the looks on the faces, so thank you girls each and every one of you that shares with your blog chums here as i know i appreciate it and can be in that imaginary place with you all.
Having a quiet day today and doing nothing to try and recover from not stopping when i should have and going out when i shouldn't have so that i didn't let down my friend. sending hugs to all my Wilsonette friends that really could do with them, want them or just need to know someone cares, take it easy my lovely friends,
love and crafty hugs

Princess Pixie! said...

Hi Sue
What an amazing opulent wonderful card. I love the colour combination (love black on a card), and the perspectives are some of my favourite dies so this card is perfect x
The video is on my 'pending' list. I have quite a few things that have gone on hold as the after effects of a fantastic day out on Sunday at Ally Pally x
Yes, Lorraine and I made it not only to Ally Pally but even had a starring role on Hochanda, but you may already know that x
We had a fantastic day and spent lots of money (although Laine spent a lot more than me). I got my hands on the whole set of new arrival dies and my goodness are they unbelievably beautiful x
George was our chauffeur. I would like to say he was willing but he has told me that he is never going again - I think secretly he loved it and is playing hard to get. Lol x
We had a lovely time chatting to Jane Franklin and Lesley S who I believe were pleasantly surprised to discover that Laine and I did not have horns and a tail! I can assure you that despite all the mud slinging and banter that takes place between Laine and I, we actually do like each other. She's still here but I am pleased to say I get rid of her on Thursday! Lol x
Theresa W - I so wish we could have had a chat. If we had seen you we would have spoken to you. It was a good day wasn't it? Next time. Hugs x
Helen Bell - so pleased you were impressed by our good behaviour. As far as the elegance is concerned that took a lot of effort. Our having to roll out of bed at such an ungodly hour was incredibly taxing and 2 cement mixers, a hell of a lot of poly filler and an industrial trowel were key in the process of such stunning results! Lol x
Sandra - hello lovely. So nice to see you on the blog yesterday. I know I am not alone when I say I miss you! We did have fun last year at A P. Hope you are OK and hope to see you again soon. Big hugs x
Nanna Tina - sorry things were not good yesterday. I hope things have improved today. Hugs x
Tracy - were you surprised that we looked normal. Lol. Glad your meeting went well and you had moral support. Hugs x
Pam - regal you say? Thank you so much. I have been called some things in my time - never regal. Lol x
June - nice to see your picture - now I know who I am 'chatting' to. One day hopefully we will meet and I can scrounge a lift from you on your scooter. Lol x
Craftysuetoo - much laughter and micky taking since Lorraine's arrival. I had hoped that with myself and the 2 boys giving her so much grief we would have managed to put her off ever coming again. Alas we have failed in our mission and she is eager to return next year. Lol x
Tina T - hope the treatment plan is sorted x
Jackie Trinder - can't believe we didn't say hello when we were all in the audience x
Maureen - I am so sorry that you were blinded by our radiance x
Fluffy - I get the impression you were hoping for some hell raising. Sorry to disappoint x

Princess Pixie! said...

Part 2 - sorry x
Myra - you noticed the gorgeous sound man? Yes he was definitely a bit of alright and right in front of me, lol. I did ask if he wanted me to whisper sweet nothings in his ear and he took his ear piece out. Sadly he put it straight back in again. I wasn't quick enough. Note to self - next year I will have to pounce. Lol. Watch out Mr gorgeous Sound Man - your card is marked. Happy days x
Elaine - hope the appointment goes well x
Maria - thanks for leaving us some goodies. Glad you had a good day x
Lynda - I am very concerned that you and many others were warning Laine and I to behave. I cannot understand where you have got the idea that our behavior would be anything but impeccable. Lol x
Wheely - miss you. Hope you are OK x
OK folks. All for now. God willing Laine will be with you tomorrow. We had planned and hoped to get a lot more crafting done. Yesterday was a wash out because we were both suffering with fatigue. Today's crafting has been hampered by a mishap with a couple of my shelves almost collapsing under the strain of trying to support my rather large collection of cardstock. Crafting plans on hold until I have made some space - not an easy task x
Lots of love to everyone specially Lorraine, Tres, Jane Franklin, Lesley S, Norah and any of my blog besties that I have forgotten. Well need a rest after this mammoth comment. A little rest then back on to the blog to see who has been lucky enough to win one of Sue's fabulous new dies. Good luck everyone x
Take care
Happy thoughts

Beautiful card and enjoyed the video.
Recovering now from A fun time at A.P. and as Princess Pixie says, the sound man was a bit of alright you!
I'm still convinced it was my influence that kept the redoubtable two appearing well behaved when we were live on tv!!! Mmm.

Hello Sue,
Gorgeous, elegant and sumptuous are three words that describe this card beautifully. The dies make it so easy to produce something stunning.
Laine and Yvonne, rest up and take it easy. Royalty like you deserve to be pampered.
Myra and Diane, you are only 40 once and as I didn't take advantage of it then, or a few other "big" birthdays, I decided to make up for it ha ha. Tomorrow I'm going to gaze into the eyes of a tall, dark, handsome man - my optician!!!
So many people here with worries, illness and pain and I send love and prayers to all.
Maureen xx

Hi Sue

You're such an inspiration! Love the card, I'm sure I saw this on the YouTube channel a couple of weeks or so ago. I bought the LOVE die when it was released. Made a few cards with it that went down well with the recipients too.

Cheers!

Hi Sue. WOW !!! I love gilding flakes and I really LOVE this card !!! It is beautiful Sue. I have not yet seen the video but I will watch it tomorrow when hopefully I will feel a bit better than I did today. The Jubilee die looks beautiful. I don't have the "LOVE" die but I do have the "HAPPY" die so I could use this one instead. Thankyou for everything you do Sue. Sending you lots of love and hugs from Tres x x x

It really does pop! Looks so special with the gilding flakes. Loved your video. I was using gilding flakes with glue this week and so much easier how you did it. Must remember for next time.
