Double Love Perspectives

Good Sunday morning all!  I really do think that the Perspective dies are perfect for double days.  Generally speaking they are very clean and simple cards so they don't need much in the way of directions.  More often than not, you can just look at them and work out how they have been made, so I sort of feel like it is a bit lacking when there is only one card on the blog.  The first card uses a bit of card from my scrap box.  I selected several different shades of card that sort of formed a nice rainbow effect from light to dark.  I taped them to a piece of copy paper and cut the Love die out of them.  I also used the centre portion from the Exquisite Poppy die and cut a few of them as well.  On another piece of white card, I cut the Love die and used the "and kisses" plaque below it and cut the same centres from the poppy randomly in a few places.  I used that aperture and backed it with another piece of white card, creating an area that allowed me to re-insert the colourful cut outs for the white ones that were removed.  I added a white on white matting and layering element to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

The second card was done with a more masculine feel to it.  I selected black white and red for bold colours and used them against a kraft card background to give it a more rustic feel.  I stacked up the Love Perspective die which I cut three times.  First it was cut in red and reinserted into a white background,  Second it was cut in black and reinserted into a red background.  Third time it was cut out of white and reinserted into a black background.  The last time, I cut the small plaque "you madly"into the "E".  All three were then assembled together onto one piece of card and raised for dimension.  I completed the card with a white pierced mat, a thin red and thin black mat and another white mat to finish.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 3/4" in size.

Beautiful cards Sue. No 1 is my favourite although no 2 is perfect for teenagers and males.
Congrats to comment game winners.
Tina, Micks appetite is certainly not at fault with his weight loss, maybe it's muscle wastage, as he is not mobile.
Elaine, my continued good wishes for Andrew, hope your leg is still improving.
Tina T, I hope Peter is still comfortable at home, it's the best place for him and you
Clare how did the show go, any prizes?
Poor Myra, no head, knew one of the girls wouldn't resist saying it.
Tracey, Norah, Cheryl, hope you are all well, missing you.
Hugs to all on the blog.

Sunday Smiles heading your way Sue. Apologies for yesterday's typo when I'd not noticed D replacing the S when I typed your name ! That's predictive text for you lol.
When you released this collection of perspective dies finances didnt allow me to own them but many year's ago I did buy large alpha dies. Me being me, with my lack of design knowledge I never used them much that is until you showed me how, you inspired me to use them for easy but effective cards for either gender. These two samples say it all, and such a wonderful idea. For those that batch make for charity or craft fairs etc, you could make so many different designs for Valentine's day and either 'fluff' them up keep plain and simple, and the same goes for all dies in this collection, such a brilliant idea.
Andy is suppose to be doing a flying experience day today which was a 60th birthday gift from our daughter and her husband back in January but looking at the weather report for this afternoon I'm thinking it will be a no no for today, such a shame, how I love our British summer - NOT !!
Congratulations to the 3 winners today enjoy your gift.

Sending Sunday hugs to you Sue for a lovely day xx

Morning sue and crafty friends.

Two beautiful cards love both of them. Always handy to have a masculine one thrown in too.

Sorry for not posting for several days I've had a few meltdowns and didn't really want to get out of bed let alone anything else. However my doctor has put me back on the happy pills again I didn't really want to but he says its probably for the best at the moment before I get any worse. Another line for 6 weeks.
Mammogram on the 13th and consultant on the 27th. So anxiety and stuff is getting the better of me. If things hadn't happened with my dad I don't think I would've been just as bad but I just have to plod along.
Anyways it's my wedding anniversary today (7years) and we are going to Ireland for a few days with my aunt dot to my dads friends where some of his ashes are going as well so it's dads last ferry trip!

Laine sorry to hear you had a fall and no the pixie powders and gilding polishes are still sitting untouched. I'm still finding bits of gilding flakes from my last load of Xmas cards lol

Yvonne thanks for the tip on the firework colour as I have got that one I shall be sure to mix it with its friends so I'm not disappointed lol

Both Tina's an Elaine glad things are picking up a bit for u all.

Everyone else thanks for the hugs etc and I'll get past my little stumbling block with. A little help lol

Love to all xx

Morning Sue and everyone,
I really love the first card, Sue, it's so clean and effective. I agree with Pam that the second one would be a great teenage card.
I really do need to get a set of the Perspectives dies as they are so much fun and very useful too.
Right now I'm trying to settle in a new addition to the family...a little ball of fluff of a kitten. He's just 8 weeks old and smaller than my dog's head (and I've only got a small dog right now lol). My older cat met him last night and looked at him as if to say, what on earth are you! He has a Maori name, so I decided that the kitten would have a Native American one. The list was never ending but after watching him race around the bedroom in circles last night he more or less chose his own and he is now called Minninnewah, which is Sioux for Whirlwind...Minnim for short, or Min for even shorter lol. He's a bit of a night owl, deciding that when I've gone to bed is his playtime but he eventually cuddled up to the dog, much to her disgust, and settled down. I think I'm too old for this lol

Hi Sue, two lovely CAS cards that show yet again how versatile your dies are. I love the rainbow colours of the first (more me) but the boldness of the second one would be brilliant for males or those that don't 'do' fancy or frills.

Clare W - Congratulations on your wins at the local show, a very successful day for you.
Tracy - Happy Anniversary to you and Graeme. If the doctor advises happy pills then you should take them just to help you through this sticky patch. You have had so much to contend with, a little help will do you good. Hope you have a lovely time in Ireland, a change of scene is maybe just what you need.
Bejay - Minnim sounds gorgeous. I love the way kittens go absolutely bonkers for 5-10 minutes and then just zonk out.

Personally I am loving the perspectives teamed up with my gorgeous array of pixie powdered backgrounds x
Thank you Sue for such wonderful inspiration and sharing with us x
Congratulations to the lucky recipient of Wednesdays card and to the comment game winners x
Sorry for my lack of participation yesterday. Headache all day which lingered over my eyes so steered clear of anything with a screen! Was feeling a little better by yesterday evening and managed a brief text conversation with Laine regarding the talent (or lack of it) on Strictly x
Tres - the noble ovals are an absolute must have especially if you have set A. Problem is all of Sue's dies seem to be must haves lol. Hugs x
Maria - hope you are feeling brighter my friend. Healing hugs x
Tina T - so pleased Peter is home and managing to sleep well. A good nights sleep is a huge bonus. Well done on lottery win - of course it must be put to good use and what better than to treat yourself to some of the new treasures our great leader has bestowed upon us. Hugs x
Nanna Tina - Tunnocks Teacakes. Oh my word - the memories. Loved them as a child. Love them now but not allowed them on my gluten free diet.
Surely Mick could not consume much more to put weight on! He must enjoy his valid attempts. Hugs x
June - I think 3 hours is pretty conservative for lunch. I don't think I would struggle for lunch to then merge into dinner and a sleep over. I don't insist that the postman salute but like him to walk backwards looking at me if he delivers something which requires me to answer the door! Lol. Hugs x
Myra - not sure about you hugging me a curtsey will suffice. Hugs x
Crewe Trish - have a lovely holiday. Hugs x
Clare W - wow - you go girl. Well done. Being a winner is so tiring isn't it?! Hugs x
Elaine - so glad your leg is not giving you trouble any more. I hope the fund raising is a success. Hugs x
Tracy - missed you hun. Sorry you have been feeling down but it is hardly surprising. Happy pills are a life line if needed. I should know. My councillor likened them to arm bands when you need a little help to stay afloat - thought that was quite a clever scenario. Hope you have a lovely time in Ireland and your dad enjoys his ferry trip!
When the boys and I picked up Steve's ashes we took him shopping in Sainsburys. He always loved shopping. At the moment the boys share their dad in their bedrooms. I apologise if anyone finds this kind of talk disrespectful but everyone's coping mechanism's are different. Tracy I am sending you big hugs and hoping you start staying afloat again soon x
Laine - ice cream and melted mars bar. Dream on - jam and bread for you girl when you're here! We are very modern in this royal household. It won't be the tower, it'll be the shed that you will be chained up in. Lol. Think Strictly is going to be an entertaining must see this year. Mind you I say that every year. Only 8 more sleeps hun. Hope you are brushing up on your royal etiquette. Hugs x
Bejay - your new addition Min sounds adorable. Hugs x
OK folks my royal duties are beckoning.
Hope everybody OK.
Sending hugs to everyone, specially Pam, Fluffy P, Wheely Lorraine, Lynda, Maureen, Cheryl and Deb C.
Happy Sunday all and if one would like to brush up on how to behave in the presence of royalty then it would not do you any harm to watch Victoria on ITV this evening. Make notes and take notice. Obviously I am not such a stickler for detail as Queen Victoria would have been but it doesn't hurt to know what is expected of you. Lol x

Afternoon Sue and all Wilsonettes, sorry I am late on here today, I opened the blog this morning and started to type, only to get side tracked and have only now just got back to it. I am loving both of the cards today, although no 1 hits the right not for me, these perspective dies really are wonderful.

I don't know about you but I store my dies all over the place, in folders, boxes etc. and so I had the bright idea (I need putting down I think) of tidying / sorting them some sort of order yesterday, still not finished but have made some progress. I have a variety of storage folders and boxes for my dies, I really love the A4 and smaller Tonic storage folders, especially because they have double sided magnetic sheets and you can get so much in them, anyway I had the bright idea of labelling and numbering the folders and inserts and then to update my spreadsheet of where the dies are stored. Don't worry Sue I have all yours stored in 7 of the smaller folders, so I know where all of those are. Well I didn't realise what a mammoth task this would be, I like to keep the pictures and serial nos. with the dies themselves but some of these can be quite bulky, so there I am most of yesterday, removing all the unwanted cardboard etc. to reduce space and have done 6 of the A4 folders, even labelled them too and updated s/s, I will have a rest from this for a few days and try again later in the week, it does make your hands hurt and where I have used the scissors so much I have a blister on my thumb, that will teach me won't it.

Congrats to the winners, enjoy your prizes.

Tina T - pleased that Peter continues to eat and that he is sleeping better, can't beat your own bed especially without the distractions that you get on a hospital ward, keep up the good work. Oh and well done on your lotter win, don't spend it all at once will you (as my Mum used to say)

Clare W - wow congratulations on your wins, 3 first, a 2nd and winning the Handicraft cup too, would love to see what you have made, well done to you.

Elaine I am pleased that your leg is OK now, hope Andrew has enjoyed his trip to Nottingham, what a great cause raising money for a little girl to go to America for treatment, he has a heart of gold.

Tracy- Happy anniversary to you and Graeme, and I whole heartedly agree with you about taking your Dad's ashes to Ireland, beautiful country that it is. Also take note what the Dr. says, if you need the happy pills you take them, they will help I know myself from experience.

Bejay, what a lovely name for your new kitten, does he answer to it yet, Minninnewah, or Min for short, can just imagine what he is like.

Princess Pixie - pleased to see that you have the protocol correct and that the postman walks backwards after delivery your mail, why did you not get the butler to get it!!! - you really do make me laugh. I certainly do not think it is disrespectful for your sons to share their Dad's ashes, everyone has their own way of dealing with these things, it is such a sad time and if it helps, what is the harm xxx

Well best go now as I haven't even looked at facebook yet and need to comment on Sue's pictures.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue and everyone

Two great cards. I especially like the first one. I'm not a lover of craft card so I would substitute a neutral colour card instead if I made the second one.

Congratulations to the lucky winners.

Happy anniversary to Tracy and hubby too. Sorry you've felt so low recently, but completely understand why. I think the happy pills are a good idea at the moment. I love the arm band analogy. So true. Enjoy your time away in Ireland, though I'm sure it will be bittersweet. I was going to say try not to worry too much about the 13th and 27th, but it's pointless as you naturally will. However, you can be sure that everyone on this blog will be thinking of you and wishing you well. I hope you can take some comfort from this. Xxx

Thank you all for my well wishes. It's not easy getting older someday's.
Knees and hips going one way, the fibromyalgia another. Frozen shoulder and
popping pain killers so the tummy be bad. Jee what a wimp I am when so many
of you have it so much worse. Nor sleeping makes the mind do funny things.
So sorry Sue I'm rambling. Not long now to AP, hope to see many of you there.
Many hugs to you all,
Maria x

I meant no disrespect Pixie your highness (upper bodied curtsey), may your postman not give himself a hernia carrying the huge amounts of watercolour card you'll invariably need or indeed concuss himself falling whilst walking backwards from your door, big hugs Yvonne! x

Not much to say since Thursday. Wobbly head Friday, I actually got to do a little paper crafting on Saturday!!! First time in months! After I'd sat to do a form for Mr, the form was literally name and upload CV so wasn't worn out and no bad head in sight. I stamped out the 2 stamps I'm using on my brothers save the date cards a few times to try out colours and then coloured one in, it was just to give it highlights and do the flowers but I was pleased. Now I need to die cut and try it on backgrounds, maybe stamp some more and try with gilding if I'm not sure it's right, got a bit stiff sitting for a couple of hours so I'll try take note of that next time but I was so happy after. Brief wobbly head today but at least got to see football. Now off to let Billy in the garden for a quick comfort break before bed. Catching up and writing this while watching 'Withnail & I' one of my favourite films ever. Now the credits are rolling I shall wish you all a wonderful week and send each of you a big hug, speak soon :-) T x
