Merry Christmas

Hello bloggers!  I thought I would share a pretty Poinsettia card to get us to start thinking of making our Christmas cards!  I cut the Stained Glass Poinsettia die starting with the largest die cut in white.  I cut the middle die in white too, but I backed it with a piece of Pixied card made with the Midnight Blue Pixie Powders.  I cut the centre poinsettia die in white and used the rest of the pixied card and paper pieced in the background.  I paper pieced the poinsettia with ruby red card and the leaves with Khaki Green card.  I added all the layers together and attached them to a piece of white card as the background.  I used the Classic Poinsettia die and cut three flowers out of red card covered with Lava Red Polished Silk Glitter.  I added them in opposite corners and added some green leaves as accents to them.  I cut the sentiment from the Christmas Wordie sheets and added it below the image.  The card was completed with white and cobalt blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Well Sue.
We need to think about packing up and waving farewell to our favourite tiny cottage, the family of sheep and cows, their families in our 'front garden' shared with the Tiny owl and almost fledged woodpecker before I think of the festive word in June lol C word not allowed yet but I love your nod to the sparkling season, 2 happy Particrafters with the tools to replicate this beauty otherwise known as our June S and Ring-a-ding Helen B will be tearing open their packaging and putting the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. It's a beauty, using different floral dies this could have a change of sentiment too for a summertime special.
Love to all keep well xx

Hi Sue. I love all the new stained glass window dies but I think the poinsettia has to be my favourite. It is very difficult to think about starting Christmas cards while it is 25 degrees in my flat. Perhaps if I put the Christmas tree up and played some Christmas carols it would help me feel inspired. Ha ha.

A really pretty post, though I would probably leave off the additional poinsettias as I think the stained glass frame is strong enough to hold its own. I loved the stained glass frames on launch...However I also love the additional poinsettia flowers as a separate embellishment for a different make...

Good Afternoon Sue. Another lovely card today Sue. I said the other day that I was going to start my Christmas cards early... Well someone must have heard me because.... I started a little clear out today ... And lo and behold I found 12 of them in a box in a drawer complete with verses inserted as well. I have no idea what they were doing there ... But you know what .... I am using them this year 😂😂😂. Thankyou Sue.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.
