Woodgrain Planks
Hello there my crafty friends! When I was designing this collection, I wanted something that would work as a background that could either give the card a rustic look or make it look very elegant too. Introducing the Woodgrain Plank Background. Shown here, I have gone more for a rustic style by inking it with deep browns to bring out the wood look of it. In the following weeks you will see this die in a number of different looks and I think you will definitely want to add this one to your crafting arsenal! Afternoon Sue and all Wilsonettes, you never cease to amaze me with your new collection and this wooden planks is a stroke of genius, you can colour in your die cut pieces in so many ways, have a look around and see the different colours and styles you can see on fences where you live and that will give you inspiration as to the colours and textures.

A lovely background that can be used in so many ways :))
Wow! Another great addiction to the awesome release!!! This Woodgrain Plank Background is really a must have!! Love the rustic effect and I can see it also with a bi-colour inking (oh, I think light blue/aqua and brown, for example, but also green and gold or in a clean white for a more elegant effect). Surely this background die is very versatile and really useful for so much projects! Also the dimensions are perfect!

This die reminds me of a floor so maybe a braided rug on it will a home scene? I have something like that in my stash this could work with. Looks pretty decorated with sunflowers also.

This die is so useful, ideal not only as a background to your flowers but also a background for tools hanging in a shed or a man cave. (Or painted a nice pastel colour a craft room). I always struggle with a background for these sorts of cards, but no longer, problem solved. Thank you Sue.
A really versatile die Sue, but yours usually are.
We usually grow our sunflowers near the fence so that we can tie them to it when they get really tall.
This is another must have die for me.

Hi Sue, I think we are all agreed that this is a brilliant die. I have embossing folders which give a woody effect but their applications are quite limited whereas there are multiple ways to use the woodgrain planks - you can see all the ideas that people are already having. You definitely have a winner here. By the way, I love the card.

Great die Sue I have seen plank embossing folders but not a die!! Thank you for again thinking outside the box when you design these dies!!!
Love the idea of a die instead of embossing folders which is usual. Also great for masculine cards.
