Happy Birthday
Hello crafters! I cut the Birthday Wishes Background in white and backed it with a piece of white card. I removed the top two sentiments then paper pieced them back in in black. I made a multi-layered frame using a wider white frame as the base and I cut the thinner top frame out of a piece of pixied card that used Midnight Blue Pixie powders. I found a piece of lighter blue pixied card and I cut all the candles from it and added white backing pieces to them. I cut them a second time out of yellow card and used that as the base. I nipped the flames off of the blue candles, then glued them onto the yellow candles. I glittered all the flame tips and added them to the card with mounting foam. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue this is brilliant, the background looks like it's made by an embossing folder (one I had many many years ago) I love what you've done here, it's absolutely perfect for any gender and for many ages. We're into November now, so not long to wait until my birthday and Christmas lists come to fruition lol.

Hi Sue, a perfect card for just about anyone. As others have said, change the colour to suit the recipient and no need to just stick to blue or pink either.
Preparing to go for my second cataract operation this afternoon so hopefully will be able to see tomorrow's delight in all its glory.
