A Joyful Christmas

Hello crafters!  I used milk and old rose card for today's card, giving it a vintage sort of look.  I tore the edges of two pieces of milk card.  Using Antique Linen Distress ink, I inked the edges of
all the torn card.  I used the Clipped Corner Rectangles and made a multi-layered frame. Using some Enchanted Gold Gilding Polish, I lightly rubbed it across all the milk card for a subtle shine.  I added mounting foam to the frames and attached it to a piece of milk card in the back.  I cut the Joyful Christmas sentiment out of both old rose and black card.  I shadowed the sentiment in black, then glued it inside the frame.  Using the Poinsettia Trio, I cut three flowers, assembled them, added green leaves, then attached them around the sentiment frame.  The card was completed with milk card mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue.
I think if I tried to copy this vintage style I'd make a right pigs ear of it, no way could I spoil the Feltmark old rose or any of my precious Foundation cardstock lol
Your inspiration today is beautiful a modern style card for those that don't celebrate the religious side of the season.
Take care and love to all.
Glad to hear Erin is improving so much Pat. Hellma in my thoughts today

Ooh - its a massive yes from me. I am in awe of your tearing technique. When I have tried to do this it has never ever looked like that, it just looks a complete mess. The colours you have used are perfect. Such a gorgeous vintage, shabby chic beauty. Thank you Sue for the daily smiles and inspiration x
