Birthday Wishes

Hello bloggers!  I used the Birthday Balloons die set to create today's background.  I cut the round, oval, star and heart balloons out of yellow, orange and raspberry card.  I glued them randomly on to a piece of black card.  I embossed the card with the Twill Weave embossing folder.  I glued it onto a larger piece of white card.  I used the Birthday Wishes from the Balloon Tail Sentiments die set, but this time I used them horizontally like a regular sentiment (they work nicely both ways!)  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  X  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue.
What a beautiful bright vibrant sample, and perfect for teens. Running the design through with a folder gives that tactile edge and added interest, who wouldn't want a happy card like this on their birthday.
Sending love to everyone xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a great idea, they look amazing. I was wondering if you will do a Christmas version of the Balloon tail sentiment dies, I love the swirl at each end, if not I will try and add them onto the Christmas ones I have.

Thank you so much, I received my blog prize yesterday, can't wait to play but at the moment I have carpal tunnel problems in my hand so it is a bit difficult but it is on my list to do.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue. Although I might have thought of sticking the different balloons to a sheet of card like this, I would never have thought of running it through an embossing folder - what a great idea. I think that the black background is not for everyone but would be perfect for trendy teenagers and you could always change the background colour for anyone else.

What a lovely right card today on this sunny autumn morning. You have a lot of patience Sue cutting out all those balloons & the extra detail of putting it through an embossing folder really finishes the card off. Thank you Sue.
